Indie Review: Jior Couture Valentine's 2014

Only a couple days away from Valentine's Day! I always get super excited to receive flowers and chocolates... and polishes, of course! Today I have two beauties from Jior Couture Valentine's Collection to share with you guys and I'm absolutely psyched about these. Let's cut to the chase, shall we?

First Love is a interesting black jelly polish filled fuchsia and purple glitters.

I didn't think I would love this one as much as I do after applying it. I'm not sure if this was intended or not, but I'm digging the whole dark Valentine feel for this one. Something so different than the typical pinks and reds, yet it fits so well!

Swatched over a clear base, used 2-3 coats, and sealed with Jior Couture's Cover Me* fast drying topcoat. I didn't use a undie for this swatch, but if you're looking to achieve full opacity in one or two coats I recommend it. Being that this is a jelly it will be very sheer in one coat. I managed to obtain about 80-90% coverage and opacity using 3 thin coats. First Love has a spectacular formula, which is a pleasant surprise coming from a glitter filled jelly polish! Very smooth application. Each brush stroke is filled with plenty of glitters (and this is even in a mini bottle) so you'll have no fishing here.

The second polish I have to share with you guys today is called Pillow Talk. Pillow Talk is a beautiful cherry red holo polish.

Holo lovers line right up because you're going to want this one in your collection. My camera couldn't even come close to being able to capture the holo in this polish. It is truly the polish to define Valentine's Day. I can see myself doing some stamping or adding some art over this polish in the near future.

Swatched over a clear base, used 2 thin coats, and sealed with Cover Me* (Jior Couture's fast drying topcoat). It is a bit sheer in one coat but adding a second thin layer gives you total opacity. The application was smooth and clean, no hassle whatsoever.

Extremely satisfied with these. I love how they look and even better I love the smooth and easy application. Both polishes are absolutely amazing in their own right and I'm happy to have them be part of my collection. Be sure to head on over to Jior Couture and add them to your collection before it's too late.

*The review for Cover Me, the fast-drying topcoat by Jior Couture, will be available at a later date.
