CDB Lacquer: A Land Full of Wonder

Hiya guys! I haven't been feeling well this week but have been trying my best to get caught up on my swatches. So many beautiful polishes, so little time. For those who don't know I'm like sleeping beauty, I love napping all the time haha. Today I have the brand new collection from CDB Lacquer, A Land Full of Wonder. This collection is based off of the children's classic tale of Alice in Wonderland! I grew up watching this movie a ton of times (to the point I have a lot of it memorized) so this definitely struck a cord with me. A Land Full of Wonder consists of six crelly creations and will be released on May 9th.

Let's take a closer look at these beautiful polishes.
Curiouser And Curiouser is a white crelly filled with baby blue, yellow, and black hex glitters.

I absolutely love white crelly polishes and this one is definitely no exception. The bright blue and yellow glitters stand out perfectly against the white base. Swatched over a clear base, used three thin coats, and sealed with a fast-drying topcoat. Since it's a crelly, this polish is very sheer in the first two coats. I found that three coats was all I needed to achieve the opacity I'm comfortable with. There was no glitter fishing and I found the formula to be pretty great. I didn't have any problems with the application, even with the multiple layers.

UnBirthday Party is a bubblegum pink crelly filled with yellow, red, pink, green, and blue hex glitters of all sizes.

A very unmerry unbirthday! To Me? To You! Haha, I swear that line is all that plays in my head when I use this polish. The glitter combination is so fun in this one! It's a perfect representation of the tea party scene in the movie and the whole unbirthday song. Swatched over a clear base, used three coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. The first layer is sheer but three coats should get you the opacity you see in these photos. This polish slightly leans on being a jelly so try and let each coat dry a bit before layering the next. Formula wise, this polish was great. I had no clumping and no glitter fishing.

Who Are You? is a blue crelly filed with blue, lighter blue, and pink hex glitters.

So much blue-ness! The color and glitter combo makes me this polish feel like...fluffy. That's probably an odd way to describe it, haha. Swatched over a clear base, used two three coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. Just like the others, you'll need around three coats for full opacity. Formula is no different than the other two, very good. I didn't have to fish for any glitters! I didn't do any placement in these swatches either. More like a 'how they came out is how it's going on' type of thing. As long as you give it a good shake prior to using, you should be good to go.

Off With Her Head is a white crelly filled with small yellow, black, and yellow glitters. In addition to that, you can also see this polish is filled with red and black heart shaped glitters.

I can't even begin to say how in-love I am with this beautiful polish. Going to say it right now, this is my favorite in the whole collection and a must-have. I don't think you need me to tell you who this one is inspired by (if you know Alice in Wonderland, that is). Swatched over a clear base, used three thin coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. Formula wise I want to say this one is excellent! I'm usually a bit of a harsher judge on polishes with large glitters but this one speaks for itself. No glitter fishing is an understatement. The formula makes it so there is actually the need to put back some of the heart-shaped glitters in the bottle. A+ all the way around!

10/6 is a light green crelly polish filled with dark green, light green, and yellow glitters.

Named after the Mad Hatter, this polish is too adorable for words. Perfect soft green shade I wasn't expecting for this character representation but it works so well. Swatched over a clear base coat, used three thin coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. Formula was great, like the others, and no glitter placement or fishing. I suggest letting each layer drying before applying the next one to avoid thickness and clumping.

We're All Mad Here is a light purple crelly filled with purple, pink, black and white glitters.

I know I already named my favorite but this has got to be a close second. Just look at this glitter explosion. It's so girly, fun, stunning, and a little crazy! Love it for summer and will definitely be rocking this quite a bit. Swatched over a clear base, used three coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. Like all the others, you'll need three coats for full opacity. I love that this glitter explosion doesn't need an undie. The amount of glitters does not affect the formula whatsoever. I don't know think I need to say it but I will anyway, no glitter fishing. It was another one in the collection where I found myself trying to be careful and putting some glitters back in the bottle.

Overall this collection is divine - from the color combinations to the formulas. Absolutely in-love with every single one of these. All of them are sheer in a single coat and you will need a minimum of three coats for each. Because of how many layers you'll be applying, I definitely suggest using a fast drying topcoat to speed up the drying process and lessen the chances of smearing. I didn't have any glitter fishing with this collection (a major plus with any polish) and in-fact for some of them I had to be careful not to use too much of the larger glitters. Haha, never thought that would be an issue. I definitely suggest you guys trying these out for yourselves. New to CDB Lacquer with this collection will be mini 3ml bottles retailing for $4.00. These are perfect for sampling before committing to a full size if you are unsure. Full sizes 15ml are available retailing for $8.00 and there will also be a listing for the full collection (all six full size polishes) for $45.00.
