Indie Review: My True Love (MTL) Polish

Hi Bombshells! I feel like I haven't been updating as much as I should be. Maybe I'm mistaken but I just feel like I've been slacking a bit here and there. Struggling a bit with depression the last few days. Not to worry though my nail bestie Cheyenne has been kicking my butt in gear. Another thing my bum into high-gear are beautiful indies! Today I have a brand new indie, My True Love Polish (MTL) created by Cherise. MTL Polishes are all a fabulous 5-free which is always really awesome to hear. I'll be covering three polishes from her launch collection in this review.

Noah is a sheer bright blue glitter topper.

So much sparky! There is definitely a lot of various blue glitters, some slightly holo looking, in this polish. I totally see myself wearing this for date night or for a night on the town. Super eye-catching. Swatched over a clear base coat, used three thin coats, and sealed with a fast-drying topcoat. The application for this beauty is flawless! I was really surprised, in a good way of course. Formula was very smooth, no clumping or goop when applied. I choose to not have this layered over a colored base and instead applied three coats to get enough opacity. You can definitely layer this nicely over a base if you'd like though.

Julisa is a cute pink shimmer polish filled with a raspberry pink glitters.

The classic pink beauty. No launch collection would be complete without a pink shimmer. If only it looked better on my skin-tone. Don't get my wrong though, still love it. I just have a funky skin-tone when it comes to shimmers haha. Swatched over a clear base, used three thin coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. The formula is absolutely wonderful to work with and didn't give me any trouble. First layer is sheer but I found I only needed to add a second one for full opacity. I added a third layer because of the brush strokes. Like always, you have to be careful of your brush strokes with shimmers.

Cosmic Girl black crelly filled with pink and silver micro glitters.

Words cannot describe how much I adore this one. Hands down my favorite from the lot. it's like have an automatic galaxy design on your nails. Definitely will be getting a lot of use for this one. Swatched over a clear base, used two thin coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. I was so shocked that I didn't need an undie for this. Opaque with just two thin coats! Formula wise this was again another win from MTL. No problems whatsoever.

Overall I'm extremely shocked and thrilled at the formulas for this new indie line. No problems with any of these polishes, everything that you could want and more. My True Love is definitely worth a try. Not a lot of selections as of now but this is a really new indie so I'm sure down the line there will be more to choose from. Polishes retail for under $6.00! Again, super shocked at those low and affordable prices. But I do have to mention a little something. I used to be a real stickler for brushes and I haven't been in a long time. However, I do have to note that I did encounter some brush problems in the mini bottles. The brushes for both minis were a bit warped, one more than the other. It shouldn't cause a problem with any of the applications if you go over your layering carefully. Otherwise you can try bending the brushes back into proper shape (it's not difficult to do so most of the time).

Follow My True Love for stock info. and new polishes releases!

See you later gators!
