CDB Lacquer - Colors of the Wind Collection

Hi guys! How's it going today? I'm not so fantastic, but I'm trying to be. Still feeling in a rut, however, it is my last day of work for the week. I'm hoping to get myself inspired for some nail art, if you have any suggestions please let me know in the comments. For today, I have quite the exquisite Fall Collection to share with everyone. After all sharing is caring and we have to be each others enablers, haha. Introducing the Colors of the Wind Collection by CDB Lacquer! This Fall release has seven beautiful polishes inspired by Cheyenne's heritage and the mutual love she shares with her mother for the Native American culture.

CDB Lacquer - Colors of the Wind Collection

The Colors of the Wind Collection by CDB Lacquer will be releasing on Friday September 26th. The seven polishes will be released in both full and petite bottles, mini bottles have been discontinued.

In an effort to save some time, I'll only be doing brief descriptions for each polish since they share similar formulas. The seven polishes in the Colors of the Wind Collection by CDB Lacquer all share a great application with a nice even consistency. Each of the polishes were sheer in a single coat, but only required two to three thin coats to be fully opaque. Every swatch you see here has exactly three thin coats and were sealed with a glossy topcoat. No issues to report and even better yet no staining from any of the rich colors.

CDB Lacquer Sunset Berries

Sunset Berries is a royal purple shimmer polish with micro holo glitters. Love the richness of the shade and you can total grasp the inspiration behind it. One of my standout purples for the season.

CDB Lacquer Hidden Oak

Hidden Oak is a forest green shimmer polish with micro holo glitters. Although the color is very potent and rich, I'm not a fan of the shade as I thought I would be initially. The formula and application are consistent with the rest of the ones in the collection. So polish wise, it's great. Just personally not my cup of tea in terms of color.

CDB Lacquer Sacred Sun

Sacred Sun is a pink shimmer with a pearl-like color shifting reflection. This is such a lovely and delicate color. It reminds me of the sun setting over the horizon. The slight color shift adds a nice softness. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do against my complexion.

CDB Lacquer Warrior Spirit

Warrior Spirit is a red shimmer polish with micro holo glitters. This deep red shade is the exact mixture of deep and bright red. Again, another ideal seasonal choice.

CDB Lacquer Mother Earth

Mother Earth is a tan brownish shimmer polish with micro holo glitters. It sounds really funny to say this but the shade reminds me of dirt haha. That's not meant in a bad way! It's a very curious shade. The holo glitters looks really vibrant against the color in particular. Very fitting for the Fall season.

CDB Lacquer Tranquility

Tranquility is a nude shimmer polish with micro holo glitters. What a perfect fitting name for this beautifully simple nude. As I mentioned some time ago, I don't own very many nudes and this one is absolutely perfect. I was afraid how it would look against my skintone, but it looks so fantastic. I feel like I'm gushing over this polish, but I haven't been this excited over a nude ever.

CDB Lacquer Pure Soul

Pure Soul is a turquoise base filled with gold and dark purple flakes. My favorite not only from this collection but from CDB Lacquer entirely. Inspired by the traditional Native American jewelry, this polish is even more breath taking in person.

CDB Lacquer Pure Soul

Overall I'm a undeniably huge fan of this collection, with two absolute favorites for the season. Cheyenne is a close friend so I know the amount of work and passion that went into this on a personal level. However, friendship aside, the formulas are really 'on point'. No clumping in the layering and a glossy topcoat adds the perfect touch to each. Also something to really take notice, the holographic micro glitters really breathe life into the otherwise simplistic earthy shades. Pure Soul is definitely the stand-out of the collection and my personal pick as a must-have. On a final note, the collection really nails the Fall season - no pun intended - and remains close to its inspiration. I really think you guys are in for a special treat with these.

The Colors of the Wind Collection by CDB Lacquer will be releasing this Friday September 26th. Don't miss out! And don't forget about all the other polishes being released this upcoming month.
