CDB Lacquer - New England/Boston Sports

Hi guys! How's it going? Just another day of being miserable at work for me... woot? Some of the phone calls I receive on a daily basis are so freaking rude. I won't even get into details because it'll only piss me off again. In fact, just thinking about it is making me turn into a firecracker shrimp. Ahh. Let's get to the polishes because I'm on the verge of a hulk out, haha. For today, I will be sharing a pretty large collection from CDB Lacquer. Here today is the eight-piece collection for New England Sports by CDB Lacquer. These polishes are based on the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriot, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins. So for those sport fans out there who also love nail polish, this is heaven for you!

CDB Lacquer - New England Sports

The New England Sports Collection by CDB Lacquer is available for purchase while supplies last. This is a limited edition collection and once each is sold out they will not be restocked. Get yours while you can because they're going fast!

CDB Lacquer Homerun

Homerun is a white crelly with red, navy blue and larger red circle glitters. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I absolutely love white crelly polishes! It has a nice coverage and ample amount of glitters to make it really 'pop'. The larger red glitters do have to be slightly fished it, but I think it's because I'm using a mini bottle. Formula was good and didn't give me any issues applying. I used three thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy topcoat.

CDB Lacquer Red Sox Fever

Red Sox Fever is a bright red scattered holo jelly polish. A very red in-you-face nail polish! I'm always a fan of the color red, can you blame me? I look fierce in red, haha. Excellent formula and consistency. It's sheer in a single coat, but I used three thin coats to achieve ideal opacity. I sealed this off with a glossy topcoat for a beautiful shine.

CDB Lacquer Patriot Fever

Patriot Fever is a navy blue scattered holo jelly polish. I love the particular shade of blue. I personally find it's very hard to find one this dark that won't stain. Unfortunately this polish is already sold out and, as I mentioned, it will not be restocked.

Touchdown is a gray crelly with red, navy blue, and white holo glitters including white and holo silver stars. This polish comes with a small baggie of extra stars for additional glitter placement. The polish is so full of glittery fun though it doesn't even need it. Good formula and consistency, only took two thin layers for full opacity. It's so full of glitters that you'll want to make sure you seal it all in with a topcoat.

Celtics Fever is a scattered holo jelly polish. It looks very bright on me, so much so, that it reminds me of a lemon haha. I do love the vibrant color and the fact that it looks so well against my skin tone. I'm not fortunate with the shade of green very often. I was almost afraid of staining but there was none of that to my nails or cuticles. Same application and formula as the other jellies released in this collection. I applied three thin layers and sealed it off with a topcoat.

Raining 3's is a white crelly with black and green glitters in numerous sizes, including clovers. All purchases of this polish receive a small baggie of extra clovers Personally, I love this crelly without the clover glitters but that's just me. I did do placement for the clover glitters after applying the polish. The crelly base had the same application and formula as all the rest stated here today. Layers on very nicely, not too thick or thin. For these swatches, I used three thin coats and sealed it with a glossy topcoat.

Bruins Fever is a bright yellow holo jelly You know how I normally hate yellow? Well holy crap not this one. I think you can even tell for yourself how well it looks against my skintone. Definitely not a common occurrence. I'm definitely going to love this color come next summer! Formula, just like the other jelly polishes, was neither too thick nor too thin. No cuticle flooding or staining. Swatched over a clear base coat, used three thin coats, and sealed with a topcoat. It's still a little sheer after three coats but I like the whole squishy jelly look it gives off.

Cool as Ice is an off white crelly with black and yellow glitters in numerous sizes. At first, I thought I was going crazy and not seeing properly cause I thought the base was supposed to be a straight white, haha. But my bad vision aside, I do like the off-white base. It's not something I see too often. There was some fishing for the larger yellow and black glitters, but I'm also using a mini bottle which contributes to that. Swatched over a clear base, used three thin coats, and sealed with a topcoat. This polish had a great formula and gave me no other issues to report.

Overall from a non-sporty girl standpoint I'm still really loving the colors and variation in this collection. Not even knowing too much about the teams, I can tell they fit each theme well. I find the idea for the collection really cute and fun - most importantly very different than what I normally have seen around. It's kind of nice to have a common ground with the men in our lives right? They love their teams and we'll sit back and love our nails representing their favorite teams haha. As a fan of CDB Lacquer, the collection has the same great formula and application. No issues to report with any of these beauties. As I mentioned before, all polishes here are limited edition and will not be restocked once sold out. Don't forget to follow CDB Lacquer below for more polish releases and sales:
