Sally Hansen Big Glitter Halloween 2014

Greetings guys! How's it going today? It's crazy but last night I ended up completely knocking out after I finished swatching. Anyone who thinks that swatching isn't hard work hasn't had a swatch-a-thon after a full day of work. I do really love it though. In some weird way, it ends up being really relaxing and fun to do when I'm feeling a little blue. Especially if said polishes happen to be amazing glitters like what I have to show you today. I'm talking about the Big Glitter Halloween duo by Sally Hansen! I ended up buying these a few weeks ago and knew right away I just had to share the swatches with you guys.

Sally Hansen Big Glitter Halloween 2014

Costumer Glitter and Dressed to Thrill are both part of the Big Glitter line by Sally Hansen. I'm pretty sure these are limited edition for the Halloween season so I suggest if you're interested picking them up as soon as you can.

Sally Hansen Dressed to Thrill

Dressed to Thrill is a glitter topper filled with copper and gold-ish holo glitters in a clear base. Surprisingly my favorite one from the duo, as you can see I layered it over a nude base coat. The thinness of the base allows for this glitter to be very versatile in use. You can easily layer this glitter for full coverage or use it over a base color like I swatched it here. For these swatches I ended up using three thin coats and sealing it off with a glossy topcoat. Great formula and it gave me no issues when applying.

Sally Hansen Costume Glitters

Costume Glitters is a glitter topper filled with silver holographic glitters in a clear base. Very similar application and formula as Dressed to Thrill. It can layer just as easily and give a nice full coverage look. I swatched it only using three thin coats over a black base. For full coverage, you'd probably need to layer about five coats.

Overall these two glitter toppers are definitely bringing in the bling bling in a big way. Formula wise these are excellent and apply really well. The one thing I did notice was that it's advertised as fast-drying. Personally, I found the dry-time to be a little long especially if you're using more than two layers. Other than that these have a couple of great uses from glitter gradients to full coverage looks. Personally, I'm definitely loving Dressed to Thrill for the Fall season as I swatched it over a nude base. These retail for $5.99 each at your local drugstore or whatever Sally Hansen products are sold.

So which one of these two is your favorite?
