Hiya guys, how's it going? I almost didn't have time to do nail art last night. It wasn't like I was crazy busy with anything, I simply fell asleep. That kind of struggle is always the hardest for me, haha. By the time I ended up waking up, it was almost midnight and I had maybe a half hour to come up with something. No pressure. Sometimes I think I end up doing some of my best work late at night with a limited time frame. Probably because I don't have time to slack and browse Netflix as I do my nails, haha. Today's nail art is prompted by not one, but by two challenge prompts. Multi-tasking like a boss! Here's my PLL Red Coat Tuesday and the first week of Nail Crazies Unite 'Anti-Valentines' prompt.
I'm so thrilled with how this turned out and in the amount of time I had too. The only thing I wish I would of had time for was a little video tutorial. I might end up redoing it some time this week, just so I can get to record a video this time. Would you guys be interested in that?
Here's the materials used to create this look:
- Polishes: Salon Perfect Sugar Cube, OPI's Race Red, and the Liquid Sand Emotions
- Black Heart Studs from Bundle Monster
- Acrylic Paint: Black, White, Red, and Grey from American Crafts
- Fast Drying Topcoat: Seche Vite
I drew the little voodoo doll freehand with acrylic paint over a simple white base. I celebrated a lot of 'single awareness' days in my time, I think that's something a lot of people can relate to. If only we all had a little voodoo for every ex who did us wrong, haha. The black heart studs actually came in the mail as part of the swap box with my bestie Cheyenne yesterday and I had to immediately use for this mani! Talk about perfect timing.
I feel like my little voodoo dude fits the two themes really well for Red Coat Tuesday and for the Anti-Valentine's Prompt from Nail Crazies. For those PLL fans, we've all seen A play with similar voodoo dolls amongst other majority crazy things. No spoilers, but I'm certainly not missing out on tonight's episode.
Nail Crazies is a brand new nail art challenge group created for the busy-girl schedule. There will only be four prompts a month spread out on a weekly basis. If you'd like to join, simply send over a request on Facebook.
And just like every week, don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in the Pretty Little Liars Red Coat Tuesday.
