Hi guys. It's time for my favorite day of the week, Red Coat Tuesday. But this week will actually be the last Red Coat one for the season because the finale of Pretty Little Liars is tonight. You won't find any spoilers in this post so feel free to continue reading on. For those of us who watch the show, it's definitely going to be a nail biter! Will we find out who A is? I don't think we will, but I do think we'll be receiving answers to some of our questions. At least that's this fan-girls hope!
Being that it's the last episode of the season, I had to make my nail art match the momentum. I have seriously thought about doing this design with Red Coat for the last two seasons, but never had the courage to attempt it. How do you guys think it turned out?
Here's the materials used to create this look:
- Polishes: Zoya Rekha, OPI My Vampire is Buff, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Line Black Out
- Acrylic Paint: American Craft Red, Brick Red, Yellow, Honey Brown, Black
- Makeup Sponge & Detail Brush
- Fast Drying Topcoat: Seche Vite
I'll be honest with you guys, I didn't record a video because I was pretty sure this wouldn't come out very well. So many regrets. You'd think I would learn to make sure my camera is turned on at all times when nail art is involved by now.
Red Coat is done entirely in acrylic paint over a nude base by OPI called My Vampire is so Buff. I used a fine detail brush that I trimmed down myself to my liking. I actually didn't spend as much time as I thought I would on this. About an hour and a half straight, but that does include letting my paint dry so I could go over it with another tone. It was definitely worth dedicating my night to though, I love how this turned out so much!
How do you guys think it turned out? Will you be watching the season finale of Pretty Little Liars tonight?
