Hiya guys. We're one day closer to the weekend and the start of my Spring Break. The excitement cannot be contained! Haha. Today I have swatches from the Everyone I Love Is Dead Collection by Firecracker Lacquer, which is inspired by Game of Thrones. The complete collection consists of seven polishes, but here I will be showing only four of the seven being released.
Everyone I Love Is Dead by Firecracker Lacquer will be available on Thursday, April 2nd at 6pm MST. Let's get to the swatches!
A Crown Well Deserved
A Crown Well Deserved is a gorgeous gold glitter topper. Fit for a queen, am I right? It's all about that bling bling. I've had plenty of gold toppers in my collection, but the formula on this beauty puts them all to shame. You can wear this topper over a base color, but I chose to layer it on its own. It gives excellent full coverage in three thin coats! Great formula and consistency, it layered easily without the need to dab the coats. For these swatches, I used three thin coats and one thick layer of glossy Seche Vite topcoat.
A Marriage Marred by Murder
A Marriage Marred by Murder is a red jelly with black, charcoal, and silver glitters, plus dark green shards mixed throughout. The green shards lean more towards black with the red jelly layered over it, but it's still my favorite from this collection. It's been about three days since I swatched this shade and I'm still wearing it! That's a rarity for a swatcher, but I love the squishiness of the finish. Fantastic formula and consistency, not too thick or too thin. Each brush stroke contains ample glitters so you won't need to go fishing for any. These swatches show three thin coats sealed in with a thin layer of Seche Vite topcoat.
Titties & Dragons
Titties & Dragons is a gray crème polish with glitters in gold, purple, and black. Honestly guys I don't know if I love the name or the polish more, haha. I always say the polish world needs more grays and this one shows the exact reason why. The glitters blend in well with the light shade giving this a subtle, but absolutely beautiful look. Formula was a little streaky on the first coat, but it evened out nicely by the second. Swatched here is three thin coats sealed in with a thin layer of topcoat.
Water Black as Night is a bright green crelly scattered with different types of green glitters, and it glows in the dark. Usually I charge my glow in the dark polishes for a few hours before I swatch them, but in this case I forgot. Fortunately for me, the glow in this beauty charges so quickly. I had it under lighting for ten minutes and take a look at the glow shot below! Very impressed. Also it should be noted that the brightness of the neon is without a white base. Formula is a little sheer on the first coat and ends up drying to a textured finish. I used three coats for full opacity and had to seal them in using two layers of Seche Vite topcoat for a smooth look.
Overall I'm really impressed with my first time using Firecracker Lacquer, the formulas are ace all around. Water Black as Night and A Marriage Marred by Murder are my recommendations from the foursome I showed here. I have seen the remaining polishes in the collection and it includes another glow in the dark polish! GiTD polishes are probably my second favorite type next to thermals, I live for dramatic polishes! Which one is your favorite guys?
