MTL Creations: Montreal Collection

Hiya guys! It has been a very long and draining weekend in our community. I appreciate all of those who took the time to read my thoughts about the situation with a certain indie. But today it's time to move forward with indies who respect their customers. Today I'll be sharing swatches of the Montreal collection from MTL Creations. For those who don't know, MTL Creations is a Canadian based indie shop, but she does ship to the US. This is a six-piece collection composed of thermals! Let's take look.

MTL Creations: Montreal Collection

The Montreal collection by MTL Creations is available for purchase in both full and mini individual bottles and as a full collection.

MTL Creations - St. Laurent
MTL Creations - St. Laurent

St. Laurent can be described as a shimmery frost white that transitions when cold into a baby pink. I'm not the biggest fan of the frosty kind of finish, but otherwise the thermal color is so beautiful. The transition state is definitely my favorite, it looks like a flawless gradient. Smooth formula and consistency, but a little on the sheer side. Shown here is three thin coats sealed with a topcoat.

St. Catherine can be described as a raspberry red jelly that transitions when cold into a dark crimson almost black. This is the only jelly finish in the collection and also happens to be my favorite. I'm always drawn to and love the drastic color changing thermals. The formula is sheer in the first coat and takes a bit of layering to achieve an opaque finish. Shown here is three thin coats sealed with a topcoat.

MTL Creations - Old Port
MTL Creations - Old Port

Old Port can be described as a shimmering bright blue that transitions when cold into a navy blue. Another one of my favorites here and a must-have. The transition may not be as dramatic, but I am in love with the tone in both colors. Fantastic formula, it gave me no issues applying and was really opaque. Shown here is two thin coats sealed with a topcoat.

MTL Creations - Cresent
MTL Creations - Cresent

Cresent can be described as a shimmering bright pink that transitions when cold into plum tone. Beautiful color shifts. It's nothing too crazy, but it does have that nice 'pop' in its own subtle way. Similar application and consistency as Old Port. Shown here is two thin coats sealed with a topcoat.

MTL Creations - Plateau
MTL Creations - Plateau

Plateau can be described as a shimmering bright green that transitions when cold into a dark forest green. Not a huge fan of green polishes in general, but this looks so fantastic against my complexion. Again, same great formula with this one as the last two. Super similar application and very opaque. Shown here is two thin coats sealed with a topcoat.

MTL Creations - Mt. Royal

Mt. Royal can be described as a shimmering ice blue that transitions when cold into a periwinkle blue. Another one of the most dramatic color changers and it's for certain a must-have for me. It captures the inspiration well. The formula is sheer due to the lightness of the color and does take a few layers to build up. But it self-levels well and has a smooth application throughout. Shown here is three thin coats sealed with a topcoat.

Overall as a fan of thermals I definitely enjoyed this collection. I liked the variety in the shades and tones, no two felt even remotely alike. If you've never tried a thermal before, I definitely suggest this collection or at the very least the couple I said were favorites of mine. For me climate/season changing is the perfect weather to rock some thermal polish. But what about you guys, do you enjoy wearing thermals at all?
