Spellbound Nails - Harry Potter Book 3 Collection

Hiya guys. It's been a whirlwind weekend and I'm still trying to compose myself, haha. Thank you for all the birthday wishes, I had one of the best birthdays. And now it's back to polishing since I'm a few days behind on posts. I have a long overdue one to share with you today that you're sure to love if you're a Harry Potter fan! As a proud Hufflepuff I'm proud to present the Book 3 Collection from Spellbound Nails! This is a seven-piece collection filled with diverse finishes and shades. Let's go ahead and get started.

The Harry Potter Book 3 Collection by Spellbound Nails is now available for purchase. Each full-size 15mL bottle retails between $9.00 and $10.50. The full-size collection is available as a set for $65.00 and in mini-size for $32.75.

Spellbound Nails - Patronus

Patronus can be described as a pearly sheer polish with a soft blue to purple shift and blue micro-flakies. Glows in the dark to a bluish white hue. You can layer this on its own for a sheer look (as intended) or you can layer it over a base like I did here. I decided on using a black base to bring the blue/purple shift to life. It also glowed perfectly in the dark, I only had to charge it for 30 minutes under a lamp to capture the glow. The formula has a great application both on its own and layered over another color. Shown in two coats over a black base and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Spellbound Nails - Dementor

Dementor can be described as a holographic black polish with a variety of sizes of navy holographic glitters. Another gorgeous combination of base and glitter in this collection. I love the contrast of the blue glitters against the holo black, I only wish I could have captured the holo better. The formula has a smooth and easy application to work with. It applies a bit sheer, but builds up to an opaque finish in few coats. Shown in two coats and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Spellbound Nails - Runaway Rat

Runaway Rat can be described as a soft greige with small orange and two sizes of copper glitter. I feel like I'll be a broken record in this review, but seriously the glitters and base are perfect together. It just feels like a combination you don't see too often. The formula had a smooth application with no issues. Shown in two coats and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Spellbound Nails - Stormy Snitch

Stormy Snitch can be described as a stormy grey polish with fine gold glitter and gold dots. Isn't this so gorgeous?! There is seriously something unrated about grey polishes. The formula has a bit of a thick consistency, but remains manageable with light layering. This has a ton of glitters per brush stroke so there is no need to dab or fish for the glitters. It dries to a semi-gritty finish due to the glitters, but it's easily smoothed out with topcoat. Shown in two coats and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Spellbound Nails - Crookshanks

Crookshanks can be described as a playful orange jelly with tangerine flakies. One of my favorites from this collection that I didn't expect I would love so much. Usually I'm not a fan of orange, but this is one of those amazing exceptions. The formula applied on the sheer side as intended for a jelly and builds up to full coverage. I wish there would of been more flakies per brush stroke as they seemed a little on the scarce side. Shown in three coats and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Spellbound Nails - The Knight Bus

The Knight Bus can be described as a vibrant purple jelly with a sprinkling of lavender holographic glitter. As a jelly polish the formula does apply on the sheer side, but builds up for full coverage. The consistency felt a little bit on the patchy side during the application. I'd also like to note that my bottle settled with a white hue around the top of the bottle after a few weeks. This absolutely does not affect the application or formula whatsoever and blends back to normal after a few shakes. Shown in three coats and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Spellbound Nails - The Marauder's Map

The Marauder's Map can be described as a parchment nude polish with a variety of black glitters like footsteps on the map. Definitely my favorite from this collection, I love the combination of the base shade and the dark glitters. So unique and lovely to wear against any skin tone. The formula had a smooth application and layered evenly without any issues. There is ample glitter in each brush stroke as well that spreads as you layer. Shown in two coats and sealed off with a glossy topcoat.

Overall this is such a fun collection whether you're a Harry Potter fan or not! If there is one thing I look for in large collection it's diversity. Not only that, but as a HP fan girl I have to say each one manages to capture their inspiration perfectly. My definite must-have recommendation for you guys is The Marauder's Map, especially if you're a fan of neutral/nude bases. But tell me guys, which one do you like the best? And most importantly or all, are you a Potter-head?
