Hiya guys! We are only a few days away from the best event in the universe... Polish Con. Ever since I attended in the Spring I haven't been able to stop thinking about going again. I wish I could say I'm attending the Fall event, but I did go once this year so I can't complain too much. I'm definitely saving any penny I can so I attend next year, though that's a little easier said than done with my shopping habits haha. I'm not in this alone, so here's some enabling for you too. Today I'm sharing swatches for the exclusive Polish Con Chicago 2017 LE Duo by Ever After Polish. There will be a few releases debuting at the con including some new stamping shades and a collection inspired by The Land Before Time. Ever After Polish - Caramel Apple
Caramel Apple can be described as a granny smith green with intense copper shimmer and light scattered holo. I'll admit it now, I was not expecting to like this color and I ended up loving it. It just comes off as very unique and vivid - two things that are impossible to resist. And the shade ended up not clashing against my skin-tone, which was a fantastic surprise to me.
The formula has a sheer almost jelly application that builds-up evenly for full coverage. There is a minimal visible nail line, but it's very faint even in person. Consistency wise it's well balanced, not too thick or too thin. It dries down to a gritty finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Ever After Polish - Cotton Candy Coma
Cotton Candy Coma can be described as an ethereal pink shimmer with purple tones, iridescent shifting flakes, and holo micro-glitter. As a huge cotton candy fan, I was super excited to see how this shade would look on my nails and I was not disappointed. The shimmer and color shift are absolutely out of this world! Definitely has that strong magic vibe to it, like a pastel galaxy look too. All I know is that it's gorgeous and sparkles to heaven and back. Pretty much I'm instantly sold, haha.
The formula has a sheer application and could be used as a topper over a base. It does however build-up for full coverage on its own with some layering. It has a minimal visible nail line even after some layering. The finish dried down to a bit of a gritty feel, but smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Overall both these colors are absolutely stunning and have such a unique look/feel. Very reflective as well, much more than photos could possibly capture. I love them both, but without a doubt Cotton Candy Coma is a definite must-have. I actually cannot wait to re-wear this one once I have longer nails. But what do you guys think?
