Road to Polish Con Spring 2018 | Week 4 Turtle Tootsie Polish and Bohemian Polish

Hiya guys! I feel so bad about not blogging as much as I normally do. Honestly though I am still playing hardcore catch up from being sick for two weeks. And it's not fun, haha. While I do love my polish with all my heart, I am quickly becoming exhausted from the catch-up game. Then again I am still in recovery mode from being sick, so I think this may be my crankiness taking over. If you ask my husband I'm sure he'd go with the later, haha. Moving on to what we actually all want to talk about... polish! And not just any polish, but it's another week to cross off our calendars as we approach Polish Con. Today I'm sharing swatches for Week 4 of the Road to Polish Con series, which features Turtle Tootsie Polish and Bohemian Polish. Along with  my review and photos, I have a bit of info on ticket sales at the bottom of the post. Without further ado, let's get to the swatches!

Turtle Tootsie Polish - This Night Is Made For Polish
Turtle Tootsie Polish - This Night Is Made For Polish

This Night Is Made For Polish can be described as a dark turquoise jelly holographic polish with turquoise and blue flakies and chameleon micro glitter. I think this polish single-highhandedly cured me from whatever sickness I still had leftover from the flu, haha. This shade has it all: vivid base, popping flakies, and a killer color shift from the chameleon glitters.

The formula has a very sheer application as expected for a jelly finish, but it builds-up really nicely for full coverage. It has a balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin. The layers build it so easily and has enough opacity to completely cover my nail line. Now the flakies are on the scarce side, but it ends up working well against the base. There was no clumping, just smooth as butter. It dries down to a high-shine and smooth finish on its own. Also I experienced no staining on removal to my nail beds or my cuticles. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Bohemian Polish - My Soul Is In The Sky
Bohemian Polish - My Soul Is In The Sky

My Soul Is In The Sky can be described as a blue to purple multichrome with copper shimmer and holo flakes to mimic the sky at twilight. Doesn't this shade have the most perfect galactic vibe?! Now this shade has a whole lot more color shifting in person and under sun light. I couldn't quite capture the color shifts in my swatches, but if you take a look at the other bloggers a few ladies captured the more purple tone. That said, this is a really gorgeous and one of my picks as must-have in RTPC.

The formula has an amazingly opaque application, though not quite enough to be a one coater. Consistency wise it leans a little on the thick side, but it's still perfectly manageable and easy to work with. There is minimal brush strokes visible during the application, but they do blend out as the finish dries. It dries down to a smooth high-shine finish on its own. I experienced no staining on removal to my cuticles or nail beds. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
