Hiya guys! I can't believe yesterday was the first day of spring already. Mostly having a hard time thinking spring when there is still snow on the ground, haha. But all these spring polishes are giving me life, so much pastel gorgeousness. Today I'm sharing swatches for the upcoming Woodland Spring Collection by Sassy Pants Polish, which consists of six medium pastel holos. Please keep in mind that all of my photographs are taken indoors in a light-box, which will cause the holographic finish to be subtle. Now let's get to the swatches!
The Woodland Spring Collection by Sassy Pants Polish will be releasing this Friday, March 24th at 2PM CST. Each full-size 15mL bottle retails for $12 and mini-size 7.5mL bottle for $8. The full-size collection can be purchased for $66 or the mini-size collection for $45.
There is also free US shipping with any order 50 or more. Canada shipping is also free with any order $75 or more.
Rocky Streams can be described as a medium pastel blue linear holo polish with green shimmer. Starting off strong with one of my favorites! I absolutely love everything about this shade, the tone just screams spring showers. Needless to say, it's one of my picks for must-have! Especially if you're like me and have a hard time finding the perfect pastel blue with a bit of pop.
The formula has a good opacity although it is still on the sheer side. The color build-ups well to be completely opaque and has a smooth application. It dries down to a flawless finish and high-shine. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Forest Sunrise can be described as a medium pastel pink linear holo polish with purple and blue shimmers. Not one of my favorites in this collection, I felt like the tone didn't suit my skin-tone as well as I would have liked. That aside, I do think the color itself is perfect for the spring. After all a pastel pink is like a must for spring!
The formula has really good opacity despite it's lightness in color. It has a very smooth application without any visible brush strokes. The holo in this one feels much more subtle than the others, but I think that has to due with the tone of the hue. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Ethereal Twilight can be described as a nude holo polish with green, blue, purple, pink shifting shimmer. The combination of the colors and shimmer with that holo sparkle definitely has this one being one of my picks for must-have. Funny thing is I didn't think I was going to like this one! But after wearing it I just fell in love. It just feels like such a unique shade.
The formula has a really sheer application with an almost visible nail line. But in the end it does build-up well and gives complete coverage. Very gorgeous shimmery finish that dries to a high-shine. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Mossy Bark can be described as a medium pastel green linear holo polish. Although I'm not a fan of green I can sure appreciate a gorgeous shade when I see it.
The formula has a very sheer application like that of Ethereal Twilight. It ends up having no visible nail line, but will need layering in order to achieve that full coverage. The application has a smooth finish and has no visible brush strokes. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Lavender Meadows can be described as a medium pastel lavender linear holo polish. Doesn't this shade give you all the floral vibes?! Like the pastel pink, I think a light lavender like this is just a must for the spring time.
The formula has a sheer application, but builds-up really easily to an opaque finish. Again same consistent smooth application without any visible brush strokes. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Berries In The Brush can be described as a medium berry pink linear holo polish with green, blue, gold, and purple shifting shimmer. I had to save the best for last and this one is a must-have all around. It's the perfect balance of serene and fierce rolled into one. Very gorgeous and the hints of shimmer really bring out the rich undertones.
The formula has a really opaque application, by far the most of the whole collection. But it's not quite a one coater and will need a second coat for the full finish. Despite it's rich pigmentation there was no staining to my cuticles or nail beds. Simply a flawless shade all around. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Overall I think Angie did such a gorgeous job capturing the essence of spring in these polishes! I love how dainty these shades are while still being very eye-catching with the hints of shimmer. Very lovely combinations all around, especially in Ethereal Twilight. Speaking of which, my must have picks from this collection are definitely Ethereal Twilight and Berries In The Brush. Both of these left such a huge impression on me that I actually think they are my favorite all-time shades from this indie. I hope to see more shimmers from Angie in the future because she has a really nice knack for them!
