Hiya guys. TGIF and just like that my vacation week is official over. I do have another coming up soon, so I'm not too bummed out about it. Another thing that has me in a great mood is the polish I'm wearing. Today I have three polishes from the Springtime in Philly Collection by Philly Loves Lacquer that I purchased a few weeks ago. I have been dying to have some free time to swatch these and that finally happened this week.
I'm so incredibly thrilled that I was able to get these. Initially I was bummed out because I frankly had no money for polishes, but on the day of release I got a surprise Visa gift card from a friend. I was literally happy dancing around the house for hours, haha.
Schuylkill Banks
Schuylkill Banks is a full coverage polish filled with aquamarine blue and gold micro glitter. It should come as no surprise that the first one I picked out was this aqua/teal beauty. It's even brighter in person, if you can believe that! Because of all the glitters, this is a textured polish but can easily be dulled down with a thick topcoat. You do have to build up yours layers for an opaque finish, but the glitters apply very easily without clumping. Shown here is three thin coats sealed in with two coats of Seche Vite topcoat.
Sakura Sunday
Sakura Sunday is a full coverage glitter polish filled with pastel pink and peach micro glitter, hot pink micro flakies. Sakura flowers are my absolutely favorite, so it was a no-brainer that I had to own this one. The glitter combination is so subtle and delicate, it captures the essence of Spring flawlessly. I was initially afraid the lighter shade might require more coats, but it was a pleasant surprise to have it opaque in three thin coats. Each layer applied smoothly and had a great consistency throughout. Shown here is three thin coats sealed in with two coats of Seche Vite topcoat.
Sister Cities
Sister Cities is a full coverage glitter polish filled with two shades of pastel pink micro glitter, black micro glitter, and hot pink micro flakies. Do these remind you of like cookies and cream or is it just me? I know it makes me think of chocolate so I had to have it, haha. Identical application and consistency to the other two. I had no issues layering for an opaque finish, the glitters glide off the brush with ease. Shown here is two thin coats sealed in with two coats of Seche Vite topcoat. I'd also like to note the fairly quick dry time with these considering I'm applying three layers in most cases.
Overall I'm really impressed with my first purchase from Philly Loves Lacquer. I was hesitate to try out their mini bottles, but I have to say these are probably the best minis I have tried in all my time swatching. Great size bottle and brushes that don't comprise quality! I cannot say enough good things about the polishes themselves, I only wish I was able to purchase the rest of the collection. I can't even pick a must-have among the three because they are all equality drop-dead gorgeous. The tinge of holo micro glitters in the finish really seal the deal for me. Fantastic formula all around and that truly speaks for itself and has made me want to be a lifetime customer for this indie.
So tell me guys, how do you guys feel about these polishes? What's your favorite polish from Philly Loves Lacquer?
