Hiya guys, how's it going? I'm looking forward to a short work week and getting to my Spring break next week. Can I get a woot woot all around the room?! Haha. It's always exciting being off from work and having unlimited polish play time. Anyway, today I have a swatch for the April LE polish from CDB Lacquer called Spring Awakening. The first thing you should notice is that it's not a holo as all the other LEs have been to this point. Starting in April, Cheyenne has decided to give her monthly LE polishes some variation and this month will feature a white crelly.
Spring Awakening by CDB Lacquer will be releasing April 1st and will only be available in full size for $8. As I mentioned before, this is the limited edition polish for the month of April so it will not be restocked once it's sold out.
Spring Awakening is white crelly that consist of navy blue, pink, turquoise and iridescent white glitters. I'm always a huge fan of white crelly polishes and it has been a long time since CDB Lacquer had any! I love the glitter combination, it's fun without being too overwhelming. The formula and consistency were excellent, each coat was not too thick or too thin. The good balance between the two helped the glitters apply flawlessly without build up or the need to fish out. I used two thin coats for a creamy and opaque finish. For my swatches, I always use Seche Vite topcoat and found it best to use two layers of topcoat to completely smooth down the glitters.
Overall Spring Awakening by CDB Lacquer is a fantastic way to start off a new wave of LEs hitting the shop every month. Although the holos were nice, I think changing it up and giving us something different each month will be a lot more fun. As for this polish, I'm a huge fan of the glitter to color combination. It really works well for Spring and I don't know about you, but I keep thinking of speckled eggs when I see it.
Make sure you follow CDB Lacquer on Instagram for the latest stock information, sales, and new releases. As always, all orders over $30 receive free shipping in the U.S. with the code 'FREESHIP'.
