Hiya guys! I'm back this week with a pin-related purchase to share with you all. During the course of the quarantine I have done a little online shopping here and there. And by a little I mean I'm like one purchase away from an episode of hoarders where they'd rummage through an insane amount of K-Pop merchandise and nail polish. Okay but like, why does that actually sound like it'd make a good episode? Haha. One of the major things I have gotten into purchasing these past few months are BTS (the K-Pop group) fan-made pins. At first I would simply join group orders thru Twitter, but then one lonely Friday evening I found myself scrolling through Instagram tags and well. Game over for my wallet. Holy moly the amount of talented pin makers is mind boggling. So needless to say in the last few months I went down the rabbit hole and I have yet to resurface. I've already shown one or two in the last few months, but I have a ton more in the next few weeks that I'm looking forward to sharing. The pin I've decided to share with you today is from the shop Anpinmanz and it is called Jimin's Sunglasses... for obvious reasons.
This particular purchase was made through a Twitter group order, but the shop does offer shipping worldwide (I believe) so it's not absolutely needed. I think one of the advantages about a group order is that it gives you an extra layer of security about receiving your product. For example I purchased another pin from a different shop back in February and the pin ended up getting lost in transit. I was out the pin and the money for it - plus it's not even in stock anymore so I couldn't repurchase it even if I wanted to. I know I keep saying this, but I promise I'm working a whole post that details the concept of group orders. It's going to be pretty long and detailed, so I'm going to need some time to work on it and so that it can be as accurate as possible.
Isn't this pin the cutest thing? I swear I'm not the type to really gush about things, but this pin instantly had me making heart eyes. This was actually something I've had since the beginning of the year, but never got around to sharing until now. The pin takes inspiration from Park Jimin from the K-Pop band BTS and some of his iconic sunglasses. Is it bad I knew instantly which exact performances/moments these were taken from the second I saw the pin? True fan moment right there, bring on the trivia! Actually don't because the feat is not that impressive if you're part of the fandom, haha. But yeah the moment on the left is from the Love Yourself concert in Hong Kong where Jimin came out wearing big sunglasses and disco ball earrings.

I was fortune enough to catch this pin during the pre-order period in a group order and snag a grade-A quality. Pretty much grade-A means the pin comes with almost no flaws if any at all. Here are some of the details on the pin itself.

And I have a new found obsession now with taking macros of all the pins. Mostly because I'm too blind to see all the small details without these shots, haha. Like I had zero idea that each heart had phrases in the background! 'Boy with Luv' is written next to Jimin in the right heart and 'Sassy' is written next to him in the left heart. It's such a cute touch!
This pin is actually in stock still and up for purchase through the pin-maker's direct website, but it does look like only B-grade is available at the moment. Not sure if another restock will happen so definitely check it out if it's something you're interested in. The owner also makes some gorgeous jewelry inspired by BTS and all of their amazing music.
