CDB Lacquer - Holiday 2014 Collection

Hi guys! I've been gaming now for a little over twelve hours on World of Warcraft with no intentions of stopping. Thankfully my internet wasn't down for too long so I was able to get a lot done, but there is still a lot more gaming to be done this weekend. It's a serious obsession, almost as much as the one I hold for polish. Speaking of which, today I have another holiday collection to share with you guys. I can't believe it's almost going to be Thanksgiving and Christmas! Where has the year gone?! Today's beautiful holiday collection is by the lovely Cheyenne of CDB Lacquer. Let's take a look!

CDB Lacquer - Holiday 2014 Collection

The Holiday 2014 Collection by CDB Lacquer will be available starting today Friday, November 14th at noon eastern time. There are a total of six polishes in this collection, which will be sold individually. Fair warning, this is an extremely photo heavy post ahead.

CDB Lacquer - Cold Winters Night

Cold Winters Night is a royal blue jelly filled with tiny white flakies and a holo dust finish. Customers will also receive with their purchase a small baggie containing white snowflakes for glitter placement. One of my favorites from this collection, the combination of flakes with the jelly formula makes it look almost encapsulated. It's a gorgeous illusion. Formula was excellent and layered very easily. I swatched this over a clear base coat, used three thin coats for a fully opaque finish, and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

CDB Lacquer - Frostbite

Frostbite is a white crelly with blue and silver glitters in various sizes. Customers will also receive with their purchase a small baggie containing white snowflakes for glitter placement. The classic snowflake inspired crelly for the holidays and you can never go wrong with a simple beauty like this. Great formula and consistency, it was neither too thick nor too thin. The glitters came out with so much ease, you'll have to be careful not to clump them during the application. Swatched using only two thin coats and a glossy topcoat to smooth down the glitters.

CDB Lacquer - Warm Memories

Warm Memories is a milk chocolate crelly filled red, white, and dark brown glitters. Oh, how ironic that I'm drinking some hot chocolate as I type this review up. The glitter selection perfectly represents the inspiration behind the polish, a warm cup of hot cocoa sprinkled with cinnamon spice. Personally, the larger white glitters remind me of marshmallows mixed in hehe. Good formula, it applied really well and no fishing was needed for any of the glitters. I swatched this crelly using two thin coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

CDB Lacquer - Milk and Cookies

Milk and Cookies is another beautifully done white crelly filled with numerous bright colored glitters. This one definitely has one of my favorite concepts very well executed. I don't know if it's because I'm hungry, but I can clearly picture yummy sugar cookies being dunked in milk. Great formula, no fishing needed. I could of only used two thin layers for these swatches, but I opted for using three to give it a creamy finish.

CDB Lacquer - String of Lights

String of Lights is a black jelly with numerous bright colored holo glitters. What's a holiday season without some festive lights, right? Although it's a bit hard to pick amongst such great variations in this collection, this one would have to be my must-have pick. The holo glitters add the ideal touch to give the feeling of lights illuminating in the night. Excellent formula and consistency, I experienced no issues during the application. For these swatches I used three thin layers and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

CDB Lacquer - Be Jolly By Golly

Be Jolly By Golly is a white crelly with red, green, gold, and silver glitters in numerous shapes and sizes, including stars. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the star shaped glitters not even with my attempts at fishing them out. The rest of the glitters didn't give me any trouble, as you can see my swatch has quite a bit of the larger green ones. Identically formula to the other crelly polishes in this collection and no other issues to report. For these swatches I used three thin coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall the Holiday 2014 Collection by CDB Lacquer has a varied selection that is sure to please a lot of you guys. Just like Santa's bag, it has something everyone will love. Usually I'm head over heals for the crelly polishes from CDB Lacquer, but this time they don't stand a chance against the beautiful jellies. As I mentioned before, String of Lights is my must-have pick from this collection and I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm very pleased with the collection as a whole, good consistent formulas all around is always nice to see.
