Supernatural Lacquer - Coffin Gems Trio

Hiya guys! Yes, yes still playing catch up on my posts this week. I highly believe some things are well worth the wait and these polishes prove my point. Today I'm sharing the Coffin Gems Trio by Supernatural Lacquer. This trio is inspired by the gorgeous jewels of Mordaunte's Coffin Gem, also known as the morbid Tiffany's. These originally debuted to those who attended Polish Con a few weeks ago in Chicago. But now the rest of us who couldn't be there (or maybe didn't even know about it) can rejoice as they are hitting the shop this week. Let's not waste any time and get right into these swatches.

Chasm can be described as a deep magenta base with purple/red duochrome shift and purple pearl flakies. Inspired by the Mordaunte's Coffin Gem stone 'Abyss', cut from alexandrite.

Formula is on the sheer side with a jelly-kind of application to the finish. It does build up to be opaque with a few layers, but will need a thick coat of topcoat to smooth down minimal grittiness from the flakies. Shown here in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Epitaph can be described as a gunmetal grey base with blue and purple sparks and shimmer. Inspired by the Mordaunte's Coffin Gem stone 'Gravestone' cut from Burmese grey spinel.

Formula has a bit of a thick consistency in comparison to the others, but still has a manageable application. Very opaque, almost a one coater but it did have patchy areas that I felt needed a second coat. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Amulet can be described as a deep jewel toned blue in a blackened base. Inspired by the Mordaunte's Coffin Gem stone 'Pentacle' cut from a blue sapphire.

The formula felt the most balanced for me, not too thick or too thin. Very good opacity as well though not quite a one coater. Although the blue tone is highly pigmented, I didn't experience any staining to my cuticles or my nail beds. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall words cannot describe how excited I have been to share these with you guys. I legit had swatches for weeks before I was finally able to get this post together. There is such a regal tone to these shades that made me feel so luxurious as I wore them. Even as I was lounging in pajamas and a face mask, haha. Now although all three are gorgeous, there is a must-have (standout) shade among the trio and that would be Amulet. Highly recommend grabbing this one while you can polish lovers!
