Dr. Dana Beauty Nail Polish | Swatches & Review

Hiya guys! This is actually one of my last posts with my normal nail shape and size. Yup, that's right guys I managed to break my nail again and land back to round town. The nail gods are really not on my side, but that's alright. Round or square, short or long, I will still be posting and rocking some bomb polishes for you! Speaking of which, I have some long overdue shades to show you. Today I'm sharing swatches for the launch collection by Dr. Dana Beauty, which consists of six creams. This is a fairly new brand that is 9-free: it contains no formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens, and triphenyl phosphate. Beautiful and healthy? Yes, please! Haha, let's jump right into the swatches.

I did experience some very minor staining to my cuticles on removal, but none to my nail bed. Shown in two coats and sealed with Dr. Dana's Quick Dry Topcoat.

Dr. Dana Beauty Nail Polish - Quick Dry Top Coat & Hydrating Base Coat
Dr. Dana Beauty Nail Polish - Quick Dry Top Coat & Hydrating Base Coat

All of the swatches shown here were done over the Hydrating Base Coat and sealed with one coat of the Quick Dry Topcoat. Definitely loved using both while swatching this collection. In terms of long term use, from the two I will continue using the base coat more often than the top coat. Although it was high in quality, I didn't find the shine to be as long lasting as I would normally like.

Overall while I do love every one of these shades, I do have to say they seem a little overpriced for just creams. That said, these are really gorgeous and close to perfect creams. Formula is everything and these are exceptional in that regard. I also have to make a point to praise the brushes for all of these polishes. Not only was it so nice to work with, but it made the layering that much easier. A very nice selling point for me personally. Another drawback for me, the shape of the bottles. Though this is mostly based on having to pose with them, haha. But tell me guys, what do you think of theses shades?

To recap, the Dr. Dana Beauty shades are now available for purchase. Each full-size 14mL shade retails for $18, which a portion of the sale going towards charity.
