Hiya guys! Happy start of February! Fresh new month and I'm starting it off with a cutie of post because it just feels right. Need to start off on that happy vibe. I've been meaning to post this for so long now, but you know me and that pesky procrastination bug. But I'm finally getting to do it now and that's all that matters, right? Right! Today I'm sharing a gorgeous rose-gold necklace with the name 'Jimin' from the shop I Purple BTS. I received this necklace as a gift from my significant other for my birthday last year and yes it was totally something I picked out, haha. There was no way he was getting this on his own and I can't help but tease him on the fact that he got me another mans name to wear. But in either case I think it was one of my favorite presents so I am very excited to be sharing it finally on here.
For a long time before I even stumbled upon this shop I knew I wanted Jimin's name on a necklace. As cheesy as that may sound. I contemplated getting a custom name necklace at an actual jewelry store for a while as well. Does anyone remember back in the day when name jewelry was on trend? I remember having my own name on a necklace and also on large hoop earrings. I like it was like peak 90s fashion to have your own name on something.
How freaking cute is this 'Jimin' necklace?! If you don't know Jimin is my biased (favorite member) from the K-Pop band BTS. I feel like such a love sick girl wearing it. Like a teenager wearing her boyfriends name or something. The necklace is really eye catching so I actually do get asked frequently if that's my boyfriends name or something. I always have to awkwardly explain how no it's not, this is just the name of my K-Pop crush, haha. Ok, no lie I have just said yes it's my boyfriends name sometimes when I have just felt too awkward. Oh gosh, I'm like so embarrassing. But anyway I really think it's cute though and I love wearing it out any chance I get. Not that there has been many chances this past year unfortunately.
I'm definitely very pleased with my selection of rose gold, it's my go-to color for all my jewelry these days. I thought adding the wired heart and gem would overwhelm the necklace. so I opted for only the heart and it was a good choice. It really doesn't even feel like an additional add-on as it flows with the design of the necklace quite nicely. I was also really happy with the quality of the necklace itself. I wore it a few times throughout summer and didn't find it to irritate my skin despite the summer sweat. The name plate itself doesn't snag on clothes and falls pretty centered without the need to adjust it much throughout the day. Posting about the necklace now has made me realize I need to revisit the shop and make another purchase.
I know this post was very niche as you're probably not going to be interested in a 'Jimin' necklace if you're not a fan of K-Pop or BTS. I do hope to have some other none BTS related jewelry posts in the future, so I hope it's nothing something you mind too much. Plus I feel like the BTS fandom has grown so much that even if you're not a fan yourself then you at least know someone who is. I'm that one person who likes K-Pop in my inner circle to even my boss will send me a text when he's sees BTS on Jimmy Fallon or something like that, haha.
But yeah that's my short and sweet post to kick off the week! I hope you guys are staying safe and also very warm if there is snow by you.
