Sally Hansen Color Therapy - Reflection Pool and Slicks & Stones | Swatches & Review

Hiya guys! I'm super excited about the post I'm about to share because I'm showcasing some mainstream polishes. I know my blog has become mostly indie, but I think we can all agree we still have love for the mainstream brands as well. Especially when the colors are stunning! Today I'm sharing two shades from Sally Hansen's new Color Therapy line. If you're not familiar with this new line, the formulas are infused with argan oil to intensify nourishment and provide instant moisture. And to make things more exciting, these is my first time trying out this line! Without further ado, let's get to the swatches!

Sally Hansen Color Therapy - Reflection Pool and Slicks & Stones | Swatches & Review

The new Color Therapy line by Sally Hansen is now available for purchase. You can find them online and in drugstores: Walgreens, CVS, Rite-aid, etc.  Each shade retails between $6.50 to $9.00, depending on the retailer.

Reflection Pool can be described as a blue to teal duo-chrome with shimmer. Starting off this review with this stunner! By far my favorite shade Sally Hansen has ever released in any line as far as I'm concerned. I was really not expecting it to carry over perfectly from the bottle onto my nails. I only wish I could have captured the duo-chrome shifts a bit better on camera. But while it does have a nice shift, it should be noted that it does lean on the subtle side and not too dramatic.

The formula has a sheer application, but builds-up to great coverage. Consistency wise it leans on the thin side, but doesn't run to the sides or cuticles. Lots of shimmer in this finish, but it doesn't complicate removal whatsoever. It dries down to a nice high-shine finish on its own. Also no staining on removal to my nail bed or cuticles. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Slicks & Stones can be described as a blackened purple shimmer. I'm a little torn on whether I love or hate this shade. Because while I'm all for a squishy dark purple vamp polish, the bottle feels like it misrepresents it. In the bottle you can see a lot more shimmer, some even shifting into an orange/bronze and light purple. But once the polish is on the nail, it's more like a jelly straight shimmer/glitter finish with no color shifting.

The formula has a sheer application, but it does build-up really well for full coverage. Very well balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin. It has a nice smooth finish and dries to a nice high-shine as well. No staining was experienced with this shade either. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall I'm not surprised to find out this is another winning line from Sally Hansen. I think most of us can agree that SH has some fantastic and very affordable shades. The one thing that did surprise me is that the whole 'argan oil formula' is not a gimmick. I mean I can literally smell the oil over the natural polish scent as soon as I open the bottle. It's not an overwhelming scent, but it's definitely potent enough to catch well after your nails have dried. And if it wasn't obvious already, Reflection Pool is a total must-have and a great way for you to try out this new line if you haven't already. Unless you already have and you just want a total beaut then it's still my pick of the year (thus far) from Sally Hansen

To recap, the new Color Therapy line by Sally Hansen is now available for purchase. You can find them online and in drugstores: Walgreens, CVS, Rite-aid, etc.  Each shade retails between $6.50 to $9.00, depending on the retailer.
