Hiya guys! I'm back this morning with another bright and early post for the September run of the Polish Pickup. Nothing better than starting your day off by looking at (and drooling over) some pretty polishes. And that's exactly what we'll be starting off with today as I share swatches for Supermoon Lacquer's contribution to the Polish Pickup Collaboration. We are just two days away and I still have three more to share aside from this post. Hang with me guys. Now grab yourself some coffee and let's get to the swatches!

Purple Ghost by Supermoon Lacquer will be available for purchase through the Polish Pickup Shop September 1st at 11am EST through September 4th. This full-size 12mL shade will retail for $12.00 each.

If you're not familiar with the concept, the Polish Pickup offers a fun, interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas, vote for your favorite theme, and selectively purchase your favorite polishes every month. As I mentioned before, the theme that was voted for September was Fall Foliage and Fun! And this month Mardi was inspired by the beautiful Purple Ghost Japanese Maple, whose leaves go from a vibrant purple to a dark crimson in the fall.

Supermoon Lacquer - Purple Ghost

Purple Ghost can be described as a red-violet-to-magenta holographic duo-chrome with purple-to-red and blue-to-purple color shifting shimmer, purple pearl flakies, blue-to-purple iridescent micro-glitter, and silver, magenta, and violet holo micro-glitter. Now that's one heck of a description, but that's because this is one heck of a polish! It was hard to want to take this one off because it was just so effortlessly stunning. It's another one of those shades this month that by far transcends the season and can be worn year round. Not to mention, it's very easy against a variety of skin-tones. Pretty much, you can't go wrong with it!

The formula has a very opaque application, it's an easy one coater. However I did add an additional coat for more sparkle and holo. The consistency leans on the thick side, but it's still manageable and doesn't have the need for thinner. After speaking with Mardi, she mentioned adjusting the formula a bit to make it thinner for the final batches. Moving along, this shade does dry down to a gritty finish but smooths perfectly after topcoat. Bonus I didn't experience any staining on removal to my nail beds or cuticles. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall I have to start off by saying how much I love LOVE the inspiration that Mardi used. I certainly would have never thought of something like this for 'Fall' and it just shows such an amazing level of creativity. Not only that, but the polish itself is very complex and downright gorgeous. It has so many shifts that it's downright impossible to capture them all in a photo. *swoon*  It's definitely a must-have this month, do not put yourself through the regret of passing up on this one!
