Hiya guys! It's been awhile since I've had the opportunity to do any sort of nail art, so I was definitely a little excited when I was approached to review this collection. And by a little I mean I ended up pelvic thrusting up and down the house. Sad thing is my husband isn't even phased anymore, he just looks at me and says "New swatch gig?" haha. The man knows me well. Anyway today I'm sharing swatches for the Rainbroversity Collection by Bluebird Lacquer, which consists of six autumn cremes and one flakie glitter topper. And yes guys, these gorgeous shades marble like a boss. This is a photo heavy post so fair warning and now let's get to the swatches!
The Rainbroversity Collection by Bluebird Lacquer will be available for purchase today Friday, August 18th at 7:00 pm EST. The full set retails for $52 plus shipping and single bottles are $8 each. The fuller Rainbro set (includes all 18 Bros and 2 flakie toppers) will be available for $144 shipped.
Bluebird Lacquer - Advanced Algebrah
Advanced Algebrah can be described as a pumpkin orange creme. Hands down the color of the upcoming season. It's literally the only time of year I crave for everything orange... and everything pumpkin spice haha. I also love how this shade looks against my complexion, it gives me such a nice glow.
The formula is really opaque, almost a one coater. It has a nice balanced consistency and it's so smooth while layering. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Bluebird Lacquer - Quid Bro Quo
Quid Bro Quo can be described as a deep blue teal creme.
The formula has a really opaque application, but it's not quite a one coater. It has a nice balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin. I did experience some minor staining on removal to my cuticles, but it was easily removed with some scrubbing. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Bluebird Lacquer - Molecular Brology
Molecular Brology can be described as a deep forest green creme.
The formula has a very opaque application, but not enough to be a one coater. It has a nice balanced consistency making it easy to work with. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Bluebird Lacquer - Language and Cultural Anthbrology
Language and Cultural Anthbrology can be described as a golden mustard yellow creme.
The formula has a sheer application, almost feels more like a jelly than a cream compared to the others in this collection. It leans on the thick side, but is easily manageable and didn't give me any issues. It dries to a super high shine finish on its own. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Bluebird Lacquer - Ambrocrombie and Fitch
Ambrocrombie and Fitch can be described as a cranberry red creme. I will never not go ga-ga over a red cream, especially one that looks like this creamy perfection.
The formula has a very opaque application, though not quite enough to be a one coater. Again it has a balanced consistency and is very easy to layer. It dries down to a super high shine finish on its own, as do many of the others. I didn't experience any staining on removal, which is always a huge plus when it comes to a red in my book. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Bluebird Lacquer - Bromo Erectus
Bromo Erectus can be described as a orchid purple creme.
The formula leans on sheer though it does have a good amount of opacity to each layer. It self levels nice and even, perfectly smooth like the others. Balanced consistency as well, not too thick or too thin. I experienced no staining from this shade on removal, woohoo! Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
As I mentioned earlier in the post, all these cream shades do watermarble. And boy, do they do it well. I felt a bit rusty because I haven't marbled in at least half a year, but these were a breeze to work with. Just take a look!
Bluebird Lacquer - Leaves Out Sleeves Out
Leaves Out Sleeves Out can be described as a multi-colored glitter and flakie topper. If you're familiar with Suns Out Guns Out, then this one here is the Fall equivalent. I wanted to show what it looked like over every color and let me tell you guys, it's gorgeous! It really looks so stunning against every single one of the colors, I can't even pick a favorite. You can also pair it up with a watermarble, as I did in the photo above. Each swatch shows two coats of the topper over a cream base and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
To recap, Rainbroversity Collection by Bluebird Lacquer will be available for purchase today Friday, August 18th at 7:00 pm EST. The full set retails for $52 plus shipping, while singles are $8 each. The fuller Rainbro set (includes all 18 Bros and 2 flakie toppers) will be available for $144 shipped.
