Challenge Your Nail Art & Bestie Watermarble

Hiya guys. How's it going? Today I have everyone's favorite kind of mani... watermarble. Not really, haha. The key to marbles is simple, it's all about the polish you use. Luckily, I was able to score the entire Pipe Dream Polish a few months back and these are perfect to marble with. I'm dreading the day I run out, because I use these so frequently. Time to start stalking restocks again. But anyway, here's my Valentine inspired watermarble.

As I do every month, I'm participating in the Challenge Your Nail Art prompts. This months theme is 'Love is in the Air' and today's is all about the color I love. I immediately thought of Pipe Dream Polish 'v.i.p. pass' (purple) when I saw the prompt. At one point in my life, I had my entire room painted purple and it would be the only color I would wear. This was obviously before the 'emo' stage, ah the teen years.

Here's the materials used to create this look:
  • Polishes: Salon Perfect Sugar Cube, Pipe Dream Polish v.i.p. pass & on the list
  • Liquid Latex from Cinema Swatch Lacquer
  • Fast Drying Topcoat: Seche Vite
I absolutely love the way the design looks while its still in the water. There's a split moment of fear that always occurs right before you dip your finger, because you don't want to mess up. One of these days I'll get to record the marble magic in action.

One year ago this month, Cheyenne and myself started doing monthly marbles in order to improve our skills. Needless to say, this one is really special to both of us. It not only started our friendship, but it was the start of a lot of milestones for us. Here's our side-by-side watermarbles. Of course, I always think that hers come out so much better!
