Digit-al Dozen - Nail Heroes Week - Day 2 Nail Vinyls

Hiya guys! I cannot believe I missed posting yesterday, but I had such a long day at work. As soon as I came home I ended up falling asleep until almost midnight. Skipped dinner and everything. Yeah, you know it's a rough day if I am skipping out on eating haha. Anyways, today I am continuing on with Digit-al Dozen week, which this month is paying homage to our Nail Heroes. This can be interpreted by our favorite nail artists, bloggers, nail tools, polish, etc. Now here's my nail art for Day 2:

My choice for nail hero today is the creation of the popular nail vinyl! Remember the days of trying to cut tape, using zig-zag scissors, and all that mess?! I swear for the longest time I thought I would never do a chevron mani haha. Nail vinyls have rocked the nail community since their initial debut and are a must-have in any arsenal!

I have a few favorite shops to purchase vinyls from and usually have to stock up every other month or so. What's Up Nails, Twinkled T, and Glam My Mani are just three of my top choices. Each of their shops have a huge variety of vinyls and stencils unique to their brand, like the cyclones from Twinkled T!

Lately I have been obsessed with these particular heart vinyl/stencil from What's Up Nails. It makes for the perfect accent nail, doesn't it? I actually just placed another order for more of these during their last weekend sale, haha.

Now here's a break down of everything else I used to create this mani:

I don't know if it'll be super obvious to you guys as it is to me, but I did mess up in the video. I applied a little too much polish and made a mess at the tip of my nail. Thankfully fixing it was pretty easy and I just used a brush while topcoat took care of the blending. Even though I love vinyls, I am by no means an expert at using them! I mess up quite a bit (which would explain why I need to buy more so frequently haha) and am always impatient to let my base fully dry so I lift my polish all the time. I can't be the only one, where my impatient nail girls at?! I see you girl, I see you.

Now don't forget to check out the other talented ladies from the Digit-al Dozen and their nail art during Nail Heroes week.
