Hiya guys! I hope you're having a better week then I am so far. There is only one thing keeping me sane and that's venti-sized pumpkin spice frappes. Usually Starbucks is a rare treat, but this week I've been needing one daily! Oh geez, I think my inner addict is showing haha. Anyway, today I'm sharing part of the upcoming Hoodies and Hayrides Collection by Potion Polish. If you love Fall as much as I do then you're going to need to check out this collection in its entirety! Enabler mode is activated, let's get to the swatches.
The Hoodies and Hayrides Collection by Potion Polish will be releasing on Friday, October 7th at 1PM EST. Each full-size 12mL bottle retails between $10 to $11.50.
First Frost can be described as a warm grey crelly with a glowy red/copper duochrome shimmer and just a sprinkle of delicate holo flakes. This feels like such a unique and gorgeous combination, there really is never enough love for grey polishes. And that shimmer *swoon* what's not to love! The formula has a really nice smooth application and opacity. I was expecting this to be a really sheer polish, but it ended up really impressive coverage. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Dark Magic can be described as a vampy midnight purple packed with delicate holo flakes. This one has a very Halloween-y feel to it, but the tone is versatile enough to be worn outside of that as well. The formula has impressive opacity, though it will need more than a single coat to get full coverage. I loved the amount of flakie distribution per brush stroke, very good self-leveling. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Marvelous Maple can be described as a gold linear holographic polish sprinkled with holographic gold glitters and gold micro flakies. Can you believe these are taken indoors?! The sparkle is truly out of this world in natural day-light. Hands down my favorite from the entire collection and this seems to be a fan-favorite too as it's actually making a comeback this year. The formula is not as opaque as I was expecting so it does take a bit to layer. I ended up preferring to use thin coats even if it meant an extra layer to cover my nail line. The finish dries a bit on the gritty side, but ends up smoothing out perfectly with a thick layer of topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Harvest Moon can be described as a chameleon chrome that shifts between red, copper, gold and olive green and is packed with gold holo micro-glitter for a luxurious sparkle. This has such a fantastic chrome shift, it almost feels like two polishes in one. The formula has a smooth application with a great consistency, not too thick or thin. There are some minimal brush strokes visible prior to topcoat that end up blending out. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Overall I'm definitely more than a little in love with every single one of these shades! The tones are a fantastic representation of the season while having so much sparkle and shine. I definitely recommend picking up Marvelous Maple, not only is it a flawless shade but it also has a great formula. My other must-have is actually one that I didn't receive but fell in love with, Pumpkin All The Things. I'm just picturing a gorgeous gradient between the two *drool* so perfect, haha. But those are my favorite, which ones are yours? Let me know which ones you'll be getting when they release!
To recap, the Hoodies and Hayrides Collection by Potion Polish will be releasing on Friday, October 7th at 1PM EST. Each full-size 12mL bottle retails between $10 to $11.50.
