Bliss Polish - Werk Collection

Hiya guys! Another day, another collection to steal your heart. Today I'm sharing swatches for the Werk Collection by Bliss Polish. Ever since I saw the initial preview Yvette showed us last month I have been excited about these shades. They all have a very girl boss feel to it, which is something I can always get behind. This collection consists of one shimmer cream, two regular creams and one micro-glitter. Let's get to the swatches!

The Werk Collection by Bliss Polish will be releasing this Friday, November 18th at 10am PST. The collection will be restocked a few times and retails for $32. Each full-size bottle will retail between $8 to $10 depending on the finish.

Bliss Polish - Humble

Humble can be described as a blush pink creme neutral cream. One of my favorite shades in this collection... no... it's more like my new favorite neutral in my collection. And of course it's a very work friendly shade, which is always nice to have.

The formula has a really smooth even application with an opaque consistency. Perfect cream, pretty much on par with all Bliss creams (if you're familiar with those). Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Bliss Polish - Grind
Bliss Polish - Grind

Grind can be described as a pinky coral cream with subtle gold shimmer. Definitely another favorite of mine from this set. It's so rare to find any peach shade that compliments my skin-tone instead of crashing with it! Hence my utter shock at loving how this looks on me. I cannot recommend this one enough for ladies with similar skin-complexion as me and who struggle to find a good light peach. Now the shimmer is definitely there guys, but it is very faint especially on camera.

The formula is very similar to the other creams in this collection - smooth with good opacity and consistency. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Bliss Polish - Boss
Bliss Polish - Boss

Boss can be described as a micro-glitter filled with a combination of silver and gold holo glitters in a clear base. This shade is very versatile and can be worn as a topper over any color base or on its own for full coverage.

The formula has a nice build-up with no pulling or clumping at the edges of the nail. It also has a great consistency, not too thick or too thin, which helps with the layering. Personally I didn't find the need to dab an additional coat whatsoever. The finish dries textured due to the glitters, so I ended up doubling up on the topcoat to smooth it down. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Bliss Polish - Hustle
Bliss Polish - Hustle

Hustle can be described as a medium taupe cream. I always stress the fact that the polish world needs more grey releases. It's such an under-rated color! I actually wore this shade for my last IV infusion and all the ladies could not stop raving about it, haha. I'm telling you guys, sometimes it's the simplest shades that make the biggest impact.

The formula is similar to Humble, smooth application and even consistency. Great self-leveling. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall I feel really impressed with this collection. As a woman of color (my Latinas where you at girls, haha) I was so pleasantly surprised to have these shades compliment my skin tone so well. It's so difficult to find pink neutrals and peach tones that don't clash. Humble and Grind are hands down my picks as must-haves, especially if you share a similar complexion as me. Those are my picks, now tell me which ones are yours?!

To recap, the Werk Collection by Bliss Polish will be releasing this Friday, November 18th at 10am PST. The collection will be restocked a few times and retails for $32. Each full-size bottle will retail between $8 to $10 depending on the finish.

  1. Be still my heart! This is my kind of collection. Nudes, pinks, greys, these look flawless. But then all your swatches/manicures do.
