Sassy Pants Polish - Twas the Night Before Christmas Collection

Hiya guys! Today I'm sharing the Twas the Night Before Christmas Collection from Sassy Pants Polish that was released a few weeks ago. Inspired by the classic Christmas poem by Clement Clark Moore, “Twas the Night Before Christmas". Holidays are all about tradition and this collection draws inspiration from Angie's childhood when her mother would read her this story on Christmas Eve night. She then carried that tradition on and read the book to her son when he was little. Now let's see the magic Angie has created!

Sassy Pants Polish - Not Even a Mouse
Sassy Pants Polish - Not Even a Mouse

Not Even a Mouse can be described as a platinum grey scattered holo polish with lavender-silver micro flakies, silver holo flakes and lavender shimmer. Whenever there is a grey shade in a collection I immediately flock to it. It's just such an underrated color, especially for the holidays. So happy to see it included here!

The formula has a smooth application and good consistency for layering. The silver holo flakes are larger and tend to be minimal in each brush stroke. I actually preferred this because it gave the shade a nice subtle sparkle and didn't overwhelm the nail. It dries minimally gritty due to the flakes, but can be smoothed down with one layer of topcoat. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - Visions of Sugar Plums
Sassy Pants Polish - Visions of Sugar Plums

Visions of Sugar Plums can be described as a plum scattered holo polish with purple, pink holo, and garnet hex glitters and silver holo micro shreds. Jam-packed barely begins to describe this beauty! The glitters work so well against each other to give the finish a fantastic sparkling depth.

The formula has a sheer jelly-like application. It has a really nice consistency that helps build up opacity without the need to dab. The finish dries down extremely textured, so it will need a thick layer of topcoat to smooth down. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - Long Winter’s Nap
Sassy Pants Polish - Long Winter’s Nap

Long Winter’s Nap can be described as an icy gray/blue scattered holo polish with silver and blue hex glitters and micro-glitters with silver holo flakes and opal flakes. I love the icy feel this combination has, it's such a perfect winter shade.

The formula has a smooth application with ample glitter in each brush stroke. There are minimal brush strokes in the finish, but mostly blend out after topcoat. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - New Fallen Snow
Sassy Pants Polish - New Fallen Snow

New Fallen Snow can be described as a white scattered holo polish with assorted white and opal glitters and shreds. Of course what's Christmas without snow! I live for a white Christmas, there is just something about it that brings back childhood memories for me.

The formula has a sheer opacity with a consistency that is on the thick side. While it was manageable to swatch, I feel like it could have used thinner to make it easier to layer. Angie has addressed the issue and adjusted the formula upon release. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - Luster of Midday
Sassy Pants Polish - Luster of Midday

Luster of Midday can be described as a golden yellow scattered holo polish with gold glitters and flakies. I can't help but love how loud and fun this shade is for the holidays. But to be honest, out of the whole collection this was my least favorite. I don't think the hue works well against my skin-tone.

The formula has a sheer jelly-like application that will not buildup for full coverage. It has a great consistency, not too thick or too thin. And the glitter distribution per brush stroke is phenomenal, no need to fish whatsoever. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - Nose Like a Cherry
Sassy Pants Polish - Nose Like a Cherry

Nose Like a Cherry can described as a silver scattered holo polish with red metallic flakes and holo glitters. I really wasn't expecting to love this one as much as I do. In fact, this one has my seal of approval as must-have in this collection. Not only is it beautiful for the holiday season, but it actually would really work during Valentine's too!

The formula has a sheer jelly-like application, but it builds up for full coverage. The red flakes are ample enough for coverage while not being so much that they clump on the nail. With the ease of the consistency I was able to layer without the need to dab. It does dry a bit on the gritty side, but smooths out fine with a layer of topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - Jolly Old Elf

Jolly Old Elf can be described as a silver scattered holo polish with with green metallic flakes and holo glitters. This was another shade in this collection that took me by surprise. The flakes and glitters really blend together to give this color so much sparkle. Really my photos don't do it any justice. I can actually see myself wearing this year round, it has such a classic subtle feel to it.

Similar application and consistency to that of Nose Like a Cherry. You can easily layer for full-coverage or wear as a topper over a base. The finish dries a bit on gritty due to the flakes, but it smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sassy Pants Polish - To All a Good Night
Sassy Pants Polish - To All a Good Night

To All a Good Night can be described as a midnight blue scattered holo polish with navy holo hex glitters and silver holo flakies. And rounding out the collection we have a gorgeous rich night-sky blue! It captures the feel of a winter night sky so perfectly, it'd make a lovely base for nail art.

The formula has a good opacity and smooth application. It layers nice and even on the nail with generous amounts of glitters per stroke. It goes without saying that it's very glitter heavy, so it will dry to a textured finished and will need a thick layer of topcoat to smooth. While I did go for the extra third layer retrospect I feel like I could have got away with just two.Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
