Hiya guys! Thank you for all the well wishes and support over the last few days. It really means a lot to me as I slowly continue to recover. Today I'm sharing swatches for the Rent Musical Collection by Rica Polish. The collection consists of six muted shimmer shades inspired by the music from Rent. By the way if you've never seen the movie it's available for streaming on Netflix right now.... And yes, you best believe I watched it for the millionth time while swatching this collection haha. Without further ado, let's get to the swatches!
The Rent Musical Collection by Rica Polish is now available for purchase. Each full-size bottle (16.5mL) retails for $9.00 and the complete collection retails for $54.00.
Seasons of Love can be described as a shimmery Byzantium purple color. Isn't this the perfect winter tone?! LOVE the richness of the shade. Plus it compliments my skin-tone very well.
The formula has a sheer application that needs some layering to build an opaque finish. I found throught this collection these shimmers tend to favor thicker layers during application. I have a light hand so it caused me to have some lighter patchy spots. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Rent can be described as a shimmery hunter green color. Normally I'm the first to shy away from green shades, but this one really won me over. The shimmers work really well against the base and give the color a lot of depth. Very stunning!
The formula has an opaque and effortless application. It also has a great consistency, not too thick or thin. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
One Song Glory can be described as a shimmery champagne gold color. This was definitely another shade that took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to love it, but the end result made me swoon. Plus this is one of my favorite songs from Rent!
The formula has a very sheer application, but builds up perfectly for an opaque finish. Such a smooth flawless finish! Has a very regal feel to it. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Tango Maureen can be described as a shimmery medium-deep mauve color.
The formula has an opaque consistency, but needs layering for full coverage. It has a really nice smooth build up and finish. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Today 4 U can be described as a shimmery arctic blue color.
The formula has a very sheer and thin application, much more than any of the others in this collection. On my index nail I ended up applying a fourth coat so I could cover my nail line. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
La Vie Boheme can be described as a shimmery kobicha brown color. Such a perfect hue for this song! Very earthy and once again not a color I would typically be drawn to.
The formula has an opaque consistency, probably the most opaque in the collection for me. Like the rest, it has a smooth application and finish. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Overall I really cannot get over the muted tone of all the shimmers, so gorgeous! It's not a color scheme I tend to go after often so they felt unique to my collection. Each shade really pulled me out of my comfort zone and I found myself loving them! The formula on these are absolutely flawless, very easy to work with and layer.
To recap, the Rent Musical Collection by Rica Polish is now available for purchase. Each full-size bottle (16.5mL) retails for $9.00 and the complete collection retails for $54.00.

All gorgeous, but Rent and La Vie Boheme are my favs. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, this whole collection is gorgeous and you wear it beautifully. For a long time I didn't like shimmers too much because they tend to look kind of frosty, but these have a beautiful finish that doesn't look frosty at all--mostly glass-fleck-y. I also love the source material. I remember when the musical came out in the late 90's and how much I loved the music.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty on you. I adore Rent the most...cause GREEN!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I like Tango Maureen best.
ReplyDeleteWow this whole collection is fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteThis entire collection is lovely. I think Tango Maureen stands out the most for me.
ReplyDeleteI love that these are flashy, but also muted and just lovely.
ReplyDeleteThese are so rich and pretty. I like the finish. I don't see that too often
