Road to Polish Con Spring 2018 | Week 10 Dollish Polish & Bee's Knees Lacquer

Hiya guys! Do you feel the hype?! Pelvic thrusting left and right, haha. We are finally in the double digits and only like 4 weeks away from the Polish Con event. I can feel the nerves building, but I'm not quite a total nervous wreck... yet. I'm sure I'll end up getting more and more nervous as the days get closer. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves we still have a few more weeks of polish to get us pumped. For today I'm sharing swatches for Week 10 of the Road to Polish Con series, which features Dollish Polish & Bee's Knees Lacquer. This week is double as exciting for me because I'm showcasing brands I never have before on my blog. Time to roll out with the first impressions! Let's go ahead and get to these swatches.

Dollish Polish - Enchanted Fairy
Dollish Polish - Enchanted Fairy

Enchanted Fairy can be described as a periwinkle with blue/violet shimmer, with turquoise, green and purple micro flakes & shreds. Another gorgeous shade of purple(ish) in the RTPC series that I am heads over heels with. I love the combination of the colors with the flakes, it gives the finish a lot of complexity and depth. The shimmer especially is a really nice though that shifts beautifully under direct sunlight. The tone of the color works really lovely against my skin complexion, which I really wasn't expecting. It does bring out a bit of warmth from my skin, but it works well and doesn't clash with me.

The formula has a very sheer application that builds-up evenly for full coverage. Consistency wise it does lean on the thick side, but it's manageable and didn't need any thinner. There are a good number of flakes and shreds per brush stroke throughout the layering. No need for fishing or placement as it has an even distribution across the nail with no clumping. It dries down to a minimal gritty high-shine finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. I experienced no staining on removal to either my nail beds or my cuticles. Shown here in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Bee's Knees Lacquer - Bogeys, Bogels & Bargs
Bee's Knees Lacquer - Bogeys, Bogels & Bargs

Bogeys, Bogels & Bargs can be described as a foggy purple with scattered holo, red and green aurora shimmer, and glowing blue/purple iridescent flakes. The color of the base was so hard to capture and comes off leaning as a steel grey more than purple in my photos. Photos don't do the rainbow shimmer any justice, it's so gorgeous under direct sunlight. This is actually my first polish from this brand and it has completely knocked my socks off. Even in the bottle it doesn't feel like it encompasses how truly beautiful the finish is once it's on. Seal of approval? I would definitely say-so and it's a great year-round shade that works with anything you're wearing. Can't go wrong no matter how you look at it. But, of course, this is coming from a true polish addict so I don't know... take that as you will, haha.

The formula has a really good opacity and builds-up nicely for easy full coverage. It has a great balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin, which was a nice surprise considering how full the finish is. Really easy to work with and to layer. The flakes disperse well on the nail during the application as well and don't clump up. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
