Zoya - Cadence
Cadence can be described as a full coverage, diamond holographic classic pink. And boom we are starting off this review... with my least favorite. Ah, I know that sounds weird considering how excited I just said I was about this trio. But I'm just not a fan of pink shades, but if you are a pink lover then this will probably have your boots knocking. The holographic finish is definitely noticeable, but I do I would have felt more of the 'punch' with just one more layer or if it was more opaque in general. And like I always tend to say, the holographic finish is much more noticeable under direct sunlight. I just happen to live in a little polish cave. Now the tone of the pink tends to pull a lot of warmth from my skin-tone. It doesn't necessarily cause clashing against the color, but it doesn't mesh as well as I personally prefer.
The formula has a very sheer application that it almost felt like it could be considered a jelly. To an extent. It does build-up really well and provide full coverage easily, but I do wish I would have went for just one more coat. Not so much for the coverage, but moreso as I mentioned before to make the holographic effect in the finish pop more. Consistency wise it felt well balanced, not too thick or too thin. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish on its own that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. I experienced some very minimal staining to my nail beds, but none to my cuticles during the removal process. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Zoya - Brighton
Brighton can be described as a full coverage diamond holographic soft nude. Now we have one of my favorites, but not THE favorite in this trio. Mostly because.... we've seen this shade before? I believe it was back in the Bridal collection last year as well as during the Mystery Box the year before last. I'm not entirely sure, but I ended up having quite a few of these in my collection. If you're an avid Zoya buyer, then please make sure to check your collection before purchasing. That said, if you don't have this one then you are most definitely going to want it. It's the perfect all-around shade that can be worn... well.. all around, haha. It's safe to wear for daily office work, cute date nights, or even lounging in pajamas while watching Netflix. It's nude base is going to match anything you can think of while not making your nails seem boring. The tone pulls a little warmth from my skin complexion, but it was minimal enough that I didn't mind it whatsoever.
The formula has by far the sheerest application amongst the three shades. It could easier be paired over a base and be used as a topper. The holographic finish in this one is the most subtle, even under direct sunlight there just wasn't enough of a pop. Consistency wise it's right on pair though and doesn't lean neither thick or thin. The layering process was easy to work with and builds-up well for full coverage despite it's initial sheerness. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out with ease after topcoat. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Zoya - Everly
Everly can be described as a full coverage, diamond holographic fuchsia red. And last but definitely not least we have this saucy red that is 100000% my favorite and must-have pick for this post! I mean... was that even surprising?! I love me a good red shade and this one is simply perfection. It has a hint of pink in the tone that makes it a unique tone of red for me. Plus the holographic finish is everything in this one, it's so strong even in my cave-like settings. The color looks great against my skin-tone and really against any skin complexion. Red is just one of those colors that never lets you down. Hence why I love it so very much. At one point I even had my entire house decorated in the punchy color... now that was a sight to be seen, haha. Anyway definitely hands-down a must-have for your collection, 10 out of 10 would recommend.
The formula has a really good opacity, however, still not opaque enough to be considered a one coater. It builds-up really easily for a full coverage finish whilst having a strong holo effect. Consistency wise it's right on par with the others in this trio. Nether too thick or too thin. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out easily after a layer of topcoat. I did experience some minimal staining on removal to my cuticles and nail beds. That to me is always expected when it comes to a red polish and it didn't bother me whatsoever. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
