Sally Hansen - National Nail Polish Day Pink Trio

Hiya guys! Today is just a fabulous day, isn't it? Like the sun is shining a little brighter, the birds are singing, and BTS just announced more concert dates. One of which is in NJ, about an hour away from me. Yeah... I'm officially freaking out. Well I'm trying to simmer it down because the tickets don't actually go on sale for another week and well it's likely to be a blood bath. Eek. Let me not start thinking about it just yet and enjoy my happy little bubble, haha. So let's change lanes and talk about some polish that I've been meaning to post about for a long time. For today I'm sharing swatches from Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line that were promoted for National Nail Polish Day June 1st of last year. Yeah... just a little overdue. All these polishes were released in various collections before-hand and are still available in stores now. Good thing is too because all of t these are perfection for the upcoming Spring weather/season. Let's go ahead and get to the swatches before I start thinking about the concert again, haha.

Sally Hansen - Pinky Promise
Sally Hansen - Pinky Promise

Pinky Promise can be described as a pale powder pink creme. We are starting off with my favorite among the three shades in this review. Actually I can easily say this is probably one of my faves I have ever experienced from the Miracle Gel line. Normally I'm not one for either pink shades or toned down colors but it just works so well here. Plus those with office environment jobs I'm sure appreciate the office friendly hue. After all we can't have Carol getting an aneurysm over some bright neon colors, haha. As for the tone of the pink, it does bring out some warmth from my skin-tone. But for me I didn't find it to be overbearing or unflattering in the slightest. I actually really love the way it looks against my skin-tone and can see myself wearing this quite a few times. Especially as a base for some cute Spring nail art!

The formula has a sheer application with a good build-up that provides full coverage easily. The self-leveling was great through-out and could honestly be applied with lessen coats. I personally have a very light hand especially when it comes to creme finishes. The consistency felt well balanced and didn't lean neither too thin or too thick. It has a smooth high-shine finish on its own as it dries, but I did go ahead and top it off with the Miracle Gel topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Pink Tank can be described as a cherry pink creme. Although it's not my pick as must-have and favorite, it's still absolutely stunning shade. I'm always a guaranteed sucker for anything showing vibrance, especially when paired with an excellent application. But before even digging into the formula, let's talk color. Holy moly. To me I find the hue to be a perfect in-between pink and red. It's unique in my collection of creme finishes as well and again makes me think of doing nail art with it. Yes, it's a simple lacquer. But it packs quite the eye catching punch for me. Plus it looks great against my skin-tone though it does bring some minor yellow warmth.

The formula has a really opaque application and can almost be considered a one coater. Great self-leveling throughout and has a very creamy feel. The consistency is well balanced as well and didn't give me any issues while applying. It dries down to a smooth high-shine finish on its own, but I did pair it with Miracle Gel topcoat. Also note, I did experience some minor staining on removal to both my cuticles and nail beds. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Sally Hansen - Regal Rose

Regal Rose can be described as a pastel pink with a hint of sheen shimmer. And now unfortunately we have my least favorite among the three. I really hate saying that when it comes to polish, but this one was just a flat no from me. The sheen is extremely subtle even in person and doesn't feel like it adds to the finish at all. Perhaps if it was a little stronger to make more of an impact against the base I'd feel differently. And I guess that's what it really comes down to... It left much to be desired from me. That said, the color doesn't look awful on me. I like how the tone brings out a sort of summer glow from my complexion.

The formula has a very sheer application that pulls a bit as it's layered. It does manage to build-up well enough for full coverage. Consistency wise it does lean on the thin side, but I didn't have any issues with it pooling or flooding the cuticles. As I mentioned before, the sheen is very subtle and doesn't stand out even under direct sunlight. Like the others, it dries down to a smooth high-shine finish on its own. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
