Hiya guys! Today I'm sharing swatches for the November Magic 8 Box, which is entirely inspired by 90s Movies. I've been so excited about this box since I first heard about the theme. I grew up on these movies and in some cases know them line by line! So in this box we have four permanent makers: Philly Loves Lacquer, Smokey Mountain Lacquers, Rica, and My Indie Polish. This month the guest makers include: Darling Diva Polish, Supernatural Lacquer, Cameo Colours Lacquers, and Anchor & Heart Lacquer. Without further ado, get ready for a lot of nostalgia in this photo heavy post!

Philly Loves Lacquer - Aww Honey, You Baked!
Aww Honey, You Baked! by Philly Loves Lacquer can be described as a pink/mauve holo with platinum silver micro flakies, silver galaxy holo, and silver holo micro glitter. Inspired by the movie Clueless. As soon as I read the name of this polish I had that scene in Clueless playing in my mind, haha. Love that movie so much. It dries to a textured finish and will need a thick layer of topcoat to smooth down. Shown here in three coats and sealed with double layers of topcoat.
Smokey Mountain Lacquers - Heart of the Ocean
Heart of the Ocean by Smokey Mountain Lacquers can be described as a blue shimmery holo. Inspired by the movie Titanic. Ahhh a polish that pays homage to the first time I fell in love with Leo. And just in case you need to reignite that love, Titanic is now on Netflix.. You're welcome, haha. The formula has a bit of a thick consistency, but it is manageable and applies well. It's also really opaque shade so you might be able to get away with one coat. I also have the pleasure of reporting that it doesn't stain on removal, always nice to know about a rich blue. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
My Indie Polish - The Matrix
The Matrix by My Indie Polish can be described as a black jelly with green shimmer, green sparks, moss green glitter, and teal galaxy glitter. Inspired by the movie The Matrix. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Rica - Deep Shit, Arkansas
Deep Shit, Arkansas by Rica can be described as a sky blue linear holo with scattered holo bits and micro flakes. Inspired by the movie Thelma & Louise. Love, love, love this shade of blue! It's always so hard for me to find blues in the lighter range that suit my skin-tone. The formula has a sheer application, but builds up nicely to give you full coverage. It ends up drying a bit gritty, but smooths down with a thick layer of topcoat. Shown here in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Darling Diva Polish - They Sucked His Brains Out!
They Sucked His Brains Out! by Darling Diva Polish can be described as a pale pink holo with gold shimmer and gold flecks. Inspired by the movie Starship Troopers. Another classic movie that I know line for line! Now even though I love the tone of this pink, I don't feel it compliments my skin-tone very well. The formula has a really smooth opaque application, which I wasn't expecting from such a light shade. The gold flecks have a good distribution in the base for an even look on the nail. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Supernatural Lacquer - We Are the Weirdos, Mister
We Are the Weirdos, Mister by Supernatural Lacquer can be described as a black crelly with orange shimmer, platinum silver flakes, rainbow micro flakes, and white micro flakes. Inspired by the movie The Craft. I was definitely looking forward to this polish the most as I love the movie The Craft. I actually had to put it on to watch while I was swatching, such a fantastic movie guys! The formula has a thin and sheer consistency, but does self level really well. There is also a ton of flakies per brush stroke so a very jam-packed finish. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Cameo Colours Lacquers - Victims, Aren't We All?
Victims, Aren't We All? by Cameo Colours Lacquers can be described as a deep, blood red jelly with tango red micro flakes, black and red holo micro glitter, and silver holo micro flakes. Inspired by the movie The Crow. Definitely one of my favorites in this box, I love the color and combination of the glitters. Doesn't it just feel very vamp and grunge?! The formula has really good opacity for a jelly. Builds up nicely for full coverage in a few coats and has no patchiness. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer - Dino DNA
Dino DNA by Anchor & Heart Lacquer can be described as a swampy dark green holo with blue shimmer and sparks. Inspired by the movie Jurassic Park. Another one of my favorites from this box that I was actually not expecting to love as much as I do. The subtle blue shimmer in the green really just blew my mind with this one. It really captures the whole dino inspiration! The formula has a fantastic smooth application that builds up evenly throughout. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
