Indie Review: Little Nail Girl Lacquer

It's that time again, Monday. The start of another week, I can hear the collective sighs in the room. The weekend just passes by way too quickly especially when there is a big event. But like everything else in life, everything can be made better with some polish. Well at least that's the case if you're a polish-holic such as myself. Today I have a new indie that launched not too long ago Little Nail Girl Lacquer. Don't you just love the name? Little Nail Girl is 5-free (no camphor, toluene, dibutul phthalate, formaldehyde, and formaldehyde resin), eco and also vegan friendly. All great things to hear about the new indie, the best polishes are safe polishes.

Tina, shown below, is a vibrant pink creme polish with a very slight shimmer finish.

I feel like I've said this a million times at this point, but what's summer without some pink polish! This shade is absolutely THE shade you want to be rocking at your parties or the beach. It's girly and a crowd-stopper. Swatched over a clear base-coat, used two thin coats, and sealed with a fast-drying topcoat. Barely sheer in one coat, I found I only needed to add a second coat for full opacity. Formula was excellent, very easy to apply. I didn't have to be careful of my brush strokes either, which is also a plus. I do recommend adding a topcoat though as it gives the creme finish a smoother look. Cremes can be difficult to work with sometimes and people tend to shy away from them. Not this one though! From the second I saw these I knew one thing... I needed to stamp with them. And stamp I did.

Korinna, shown below, is an electric blue creme polish.

Isn't this shade of blue freaking jaw-dropping?! I don't think I have come across a blue creme that looks this good on me before. That makes me sound so vain but can you blame me? I'm a stunner in this polish. But I see a blue polish and the first thing I start fearing is staining. Fear not though, Korinna will not stain your nails! Definitely recommend this one, polish must-have. Swatched over a clear base-coat, used two thin coats, and sealed with a fast-drying topcoat. Formula is absolute heaven. I had zero problems with this polish, no streaking whatsoever. Sheer in one coat, but again only two coats for full opacity. Add a topcoat for that smoothness and extra shine! I also put this creme to the stamp test as well, see for yourself below.

Nichole, shown below, is a lilac lavender creme polish.

Lilac is a huge color this year, like the color to wear. I'll admit I don't usually follow trends but this is one I can get behind. The good thing about this shade is it's not limited to summer, this is a color you'll be able to enjoy all year-round. Really beautiful shade. Swatched over a clear base-coat, used two thin coats, and sealed with a fast-drying topcoat. Formula-wise this is another excellent creme polish from LNG. No problems with the formula: very easy application and no streaking. Barely sheer in one coat, but completely opaque in two coats. As stated with the others, make sure you add a topcoat or the overall smoothness.

Amanda, shown below, is a coral creme polish

And here is my favorite and must-have of the entire post. Words cannot describe exactly how much I love this polish. It's so incredibly fiery and striking. Amanda is the polish for the girl who wants to turn heads this summer. Whether it's at a party, walking on the boardwalk, or at the beach your nails are going to look fantastic in this shade. It's a definite big plus for me because it compliments my skin tone so well, something that I have a lot of trouble with finding. Swatched over a clear base coat, used two thin coats, and sealed with a fast drying topcoat. Formula is astonishing. No streaking and no staining, it follows the consistency of the others. Sheer in one coat but only needs a second for full opacity. Don't forget, you'll want a topcoat to give it a glossy look.

Overall I give these polishes from Little Nail Girl Lacquer a 10 out of 10 for their beauty, formula, and overall sass factor. Creme polishes done right is a very hard thing to come across sometimes. And coming from a brand new indie, the formula in these polishes is incredible. Consistent formula, smooth application, and no staining from the vibrant colors! The bottles and the names, a very cute touch in my book as well.

Nail-art wise alone I'm finding so many uses for these beauties, especially when it comes to stamping. I often get asked which polishes are best for stamping and I know what my answer is going to be from now on! Definitely try these out for yourselves, each polish retails for $11.00.
