Nail Art w/ OPI Infinite Shine Polishes

Hiya guys. My week off from work is more or less over today since I realized tomorrow I need to go in half a day. Kind of lame. But it was fun while it lasted and I made a serious dent in my swatch pile! Not only that though, because I managed to get some nail art done as well. Today I'll be showing you guys another mani I'll be submitting to the Preen.Me OPI Infinite Shine Challenge.

I'm super excited these turned out exactly how I envisioned them. That doesn't happen very often with me! I feel like this is a very classic, almost edgy, kind of nail look. Maybe it's the color scheme, but I feel like a badass lol.

Here's the materials used to create this look:
  • Polishes: OPI Infinite Shine Polish - Tanacious Spirit, We're in the Black, and Unequivocally Crimson
  • Bow from eBay & micro beads from Sally's Beauty
  • Pure Color Detail Brush
  • Half moon vinyls from Twinkled T
  • OPI Infinite Shine Primer Base Coat & Gloss Topcoat
All products in this post were received from OPI as part of the PreenMe Program. All opinions stated here are completely my own.

No video tutorial for this mani is available, I forgot to hit record as I sat there doing each step in front of the camera. Yes, I did hulk out at the discovery afterwards. But the whole thing is actually much more simple than it may look. Start off with a base color, here I used Tanacious Spirit by OPI. Then create the leopard print using the other two polishes of your choice and a detail brush. After this has thoroughly dried  (I waited fifteen minutes to make sure) use the half moon vinyls to create the cut away at the top and bottom of the nail. I then painted the cut away with the same color as the inside circle of the leopard print. For the micro beads, I added topcoat onto my nail and using a toothpick I quickly placed them one by one in a half circle pattern to outline the cut away.

But I would love to hear what do you guys think about this mani. Let me know down in the comments! Also any mani suggestions would be highly appreciated as I've been drawing a blank lately. Need some inspiration, feel free to leave links to patterns or pictures. Thanks guys and I'll catch you all tomorrow.

    1. Haha yeah I'm always nervous about them falling out, but if I use nail glue they stay intact for at least a week.

  8. Those are pretty awesome but I imagine with as much hand washing as I do that these 3d nails would just come right off.

    1. You'd be surprised, there are a lot of special nail glues that allow for charms to last a while even after washing a lot. Personally I have had them last two weeks straight at the most.

  12. I know I already told you, but I ADORE this look. It's fierce and sexy and feminine and RAOWR! :D For nail inspiration ideas, I pick up a high-end fashion mag (Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, etc) and tear out ads or campaigns that I like the prints or color combos (uhhh, make sure you buy the magazine first. :P).

  17. Love the bow , looks very fashionable. Nail designs like these is just a dream for me since I can't wear them. I do most of the things around the house so my nail polish always lasts only for a day or two.
