Mod Lacquer Energize & Stimulate Watermarble

Hiya guys. You ever have something on your mind and it's all you can think about? So much so that you end up dreaming about it? That was me the last couple of days ever since I swatched the cremes for Mod Lacquer. So for today I have a summer ready watermarble using the two neon polishes from Mod Lacquer that I reviewed yesterday, Energize & Stimulate.

The watermarble gods were extremely kind to me. Of course, these killer polishes helped a lot too haha. I cannot wait to purchase the rest of this collection for myself. It's available at Mod Lacquer's Shop as a whole set (11 shades) in full size for $76.50 and in mini size for $31.50.

Whenever I post a watermarble I always get a lot of how-to questions so I thought I would address some of them here. Bust out the whiskey... wait... that's not appropriate for Q&A time, never mind hehe.

Q - What do you use for cleanup?
A - I used liquid latex from Ellagee. Then just a cotton swab and a cleanup brush (I used an Elf brush) for the rest of the spots I missed.

Q - What are the best watermarble polishes?
A - This is a tough one to answer straight. You want to find polishes that are cremes and that spread well in the water. Most notable in the indie community are the Pipe Dream Polishes. Don't despair if you haven't got your hands on those, there are a ton of indies that watermarble just as good! Including the new neon collection from Mod Lacquer.

Q - Do I really need that fancy watermarbling tool?
A - No, not at all. I have always used toothpicks and they work just as well.

Q - How do you avoid bubbles? Is it black magic?
A - No, it's actually unicorn juice. No, no that's not right. Honestly, I work very slowly and that ends up helping a lot. Especially once your finger is in the water. You want to linger there a while and then slowly pull it to the surface.

Q - What kind of cup do you use?
A - I have ultimately started using a plastic cup from IKEA, it was maybe two dollars for a set of six. But I have used a glass tea cup with good results as well. Never use a plastic or foam cup, unless you want the bottom to possibly start leaking.

I think that covers a lot of the basic questions I've been asked. Do you have any other questions not seen here? Let me know down in the comments and I'll be glad to answer!

As I mentioned yesterday these polishes are blacklight reactive as well! Just take a look at how my mani lights up the night!
