Indie-Galactic Box

Hiya guys! Have you ever looked at a polish and it's as if you can hear angels singing and you know that it was made for you? Multiply that feeling by five and you have me, as I unwrapped each polish in this box. Today I'm sharing the upcoming Indie-Galactic Box, which features five makers (so, five polishes) and six extra goodies. The theme for this box is, you guessed it, all about the galaxy and stars. Can you tell why I was excited now?! Let's get to the swatches!

The Indie-Galactic Box will be releasing on June 17th at 9 PM EST thru indiegalacticbox.storenvy.com. There will only be 50 boxes available (ready to ship), and once sold out these will not be restocked. Each box will retail for $52.50 shipped priority to the US, $62.25 First Class Int'l to Canada and $70.25 First Class Int'l everywhere else.

I did an unboxing video showing all the items in the box as well as video swatches for you guys to check out. Because of all the items, it's a very lengthy video (probably my longest to date). But if you want to skip right into the swatches you can do so by starting the video at 4:30.

Ever After - 1000 Light Years

1000 Light Years by Ever After can be described as a dark magenta scattered holo with blue to purple chrome flakes, pink and purple holo micro glitters. The application has a sheer formula, but it builds up to an opaque finish in a few coats. Depending on how light your hand is during application you could possibly get away with two coats. It does dry to a gritty/textured finish that will need a layer of topcoat to be smooth. Shown here in two-three coats plus a glossy topcoat.

Lou It Yourself - Why So Sirius?

Why So Sirius? by Lou It Yourself can be described as a lavender crelly shining bright with a magenta and blue shifty shimmery glow like its namesake. The formula has a sheer application that almost felt like a jelly rather than a crelly. That aside, it ends up having great self-leveling and a smooth consistency. Shown here in three coats plus a glossy topcoat.

Anonymous Lacquer - Star Light, Star Bright

Star Light, Star Bright by Anonymous Lacquer can be described as a black base with multi-colored shimmers and clear holo glitters. The formula has fantastic coverage and is really opaque in a single coat. The consistency is a bit on the thick side, but completely manageable and easy to work with. The It will dry to a semi-gritty finish on its own due to the glitter bonanza. Shown here in two coats plus a glossy topcoat.

CDB Lacquer - Cosmic Escape

Cosmic Escape by CDB Lacquer can be described as a midnight blue with a turquoise green shift packed with holographic bright colored micro glitters as well as gold and silver. The formula has great coverage and is opaque, but it's not a one coater. I'm also happy to share that this beauty did not stain my nail bed or cuticles, that's always something I check for in blue polishes. This one also has a bit of a gritty finish so again just one layer of topcoat will smooth it all out. Shown here in two coats plus a glossy topcoat.

Supernatural Lacquer - Heliosphere

Heliosphere by Supernatural Lacquer can be described as a silver linear holo with green/copper multichrome flakies and a strong copper/orange shimmer. This polish surprised during the application process because I wasn't expecting it to be so opaque. It has fantastic coverage and self-leveling while drying smooth pre-topcoat. Shown here in two coats plus a glossy topcoat.

There is also a bunch of intergalactic goodies in this box as well! In each one of the boxes, you'll be receiving all the following items:

  • Ever After - One 5ml cuticle crelly and 5ml nail oil dropper sample, Intergalactic Space Ranger scent.
  • Lou It Yourself - Space/galaxy themed nail vinyls
  • Anonymous Lacquer - Cuticle balm sample
  • CDB Lacquer - Custom galaxy print polish bottle stickers and box theme title
  • Supernatural Lacquer - Multi colored ceramic nail art stars

Overall I think this box is absolutely gorgeous and has completely surpassed my exceptions! Originally I was a little nervous about a galaxy theme because I feared all the polishes would be too similar. This ended up not being the case whatsoever with each creator hitting an outer space home run in creativity. All the formulas were as expected and gave me no issues during application (I'll have video swatches later on). For the price, this box has a really great value with just the polishes alone. Adding in the goodies on top of that is a big selling point to me, especially with the cuticle care items! Those are always my favorite things to receive when purchasing a themed box. But tell me guys, what do you think of this box? Which polish is your favorite?
