Smokey Mountain Lacquers - Anniversary Duo Swatches & Review

Hiya guys! A late night double-post kind of day, these are my favorite to type up. Sitting back with some good coffee and typing the night away about gorgeous polishes. Yes that's right, I have more polishes to share and hurt your wallet with, haha. Today I'm sharing the upcoming Anniversary Duo by Smokey Mountain Lacquers. Please join me on congratulating Kim, owner of Smokey Mountain Lacquers, on three successful years! That's such an amazing accomplishment, but with polishes like the ones I'm about to show you it's really no surprise. Without further ado, let's get started!

The Anniversary Duo by Smokey Mountain Lacquers will be releasing Saturday, August 27th at 8PM EST. Each polish retails for $9.99 for full-size (15 mL) and $6.00 (8 mL) for mini. Both of them can also be purchased together for $17.98 for full-size and $10.80 for mini.

Smokey Mountain Lacquers - Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake can be described as a teal linear holo with blue shimmer. Not going to lie here guys, my horror movie brain immediately thought of the classic Friday the 13th movie. That aside, this is such a lovely shade of teal. So much more shimmery than my camera could even hope to capture. The formula has a thin and sheer consistency, but layers without issue for an opaque finish. Also I wore this for a few days without a base and experienced no staining. Shown here in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Smokey Mountain Lacquers - Mountain’s Edge

Mountain’s Edge can be described as a beige cream with bronze/gold/silver UCC flakies. The gold flakies in this are so jaw-dropping! It feels so Fall appropriate even though that's not really the intention behind it. The formula has a nice consistency, not too thick or too thin. The flakie distribution was fantastic, each brush stroke felt jam-packed and they glided onto the nail easily. The finish does end up drying a little bit gritty, but can be smoothed down by doubling up on the topcoat. Shown here in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall these are absolutely gorgeous and definitely fit the whole anniversary vibe. Not to mention they both are great representations of what Smokey Mountain Lacquers has to offer - beautiful unique shades with spot-on formulas. Without a doubt I have to say that Mountain’s Edge is a must-have! Whether you've been a fan for the last three years or trying this brand out for the first time, your stash needs to have this shade! But tell me guys, what do you think? Which one is your favorite or do you plan on grabbing both?

To recap, the Anniversary Duo by Smokey Mountain Lacquers will be releasing Saturday, August 27th at 8PM EST. Each polish retails for $9.99 for full-size and $6.00 for mini. Both of them can also be purchased together for $17.98 for full-size and $10.80 for mini.
