Digit-al Dozen - Negative Space Week - Day 2

Hiya guys! I have another post today for Digit-al Dozen Negative Space week. This was another manicure I had cooked up in my head since I found out about this prompt. Every summer my husband takes me down the boardwalk and I end up always getting a Henna tattoo (along with a load of cotton candy and corn dogs). My last one has already long worn away, but then I got the idea about Henna on my nails. The stamping pattern for this really (I think) nails the whole Henna inspiration and looks just as if it were on my skin!

Yesterday I mentioned I was doing a little bit of cheating by using a sheer polish to hide my stained nails...well I'm doing that again today. If it's not obvious by now, I am obsessed with Bubble Bath from OPI. So in other words, be prepared to see it about everyday this week.

Originally I was going to use a matte topcoat on this manicure, but after doing the glossy first I couldn't get myself to do it. For some reason the shine was particularly strong in this design... not that I'm complaining! What do you guys think? Should I have gone with the matte instead?

Here's everything I used to create this look:

  • Polishes: OPI Bubble Bath and Rica BlackOut
  • Pueen Cosmetics:  Fancy Lover 02 Stamping Plate
  • Top Coat: Seche Vite

I'll have a quick video posted on my Instagram for this mani when I get a chance to post it tomorrow (I hope). There really isn't much to this design though and that's okay. Sometimes simple can actually end up looking just as nice as anything else.

As always, please let me know what you think of this design down in the comments. Have you guys ever had Henna tattoo done on you before? Are you feeling the Henna vibes from this mani? Also don't forget to check out the other designs during Day 2 of The Digit-al Dozen Negative Space week!
