Hiya guys! Another day, another polish to rock your world. Not only is it finally 'get out of the hospital day', but it's also Polish Pickup day! Double the reasons to pelvic thrust and celebrate... and to buy all the polish of course. For today I'm sharing swatches for Contrary Polish December contribution to the Polish Pickup Collaboration. As you may know by now, this month the theme that was voted on was Holiday's Around the World. Now this is definitely one for your shopping carts, so fair warning be prepared to drool. But enough talk, let's get right into the swatches!

A Lapland Christmas by Contrary Polish will be available for purchase through the Polish Pickup Shop December 1st at 11AM EST through December 4th. This full-size 15mL shade will retail for $11 each.

If you're not familiar with the concept, the Polish Pickup offers a fun, interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas, vote for your favorite theme, and selectively purchase your favorite polishes every month. As I mentioned before, the theme that was voted for December is Holiday's Around the World. This month Carrie found her inspiration in the Northern Lights as viewed from Finnish Lapland.

Contrary Polish - A Lapland Christmas

A Lapland Christmas can be described as a greyed navy holo (mix of linear and scattered) with color-shifting shimmer (shifting from green to pink/red). Another favorite of mine this month, the shade is the perfect combination of vamp and shimmer. Photos don't do the color shift any justice, it's much more vibrant under direct lighting. Not to mention, the tone of the shade meshes so perfectly against any skin-complexion. Needless to say, it's a must-have!

The formula has a really nice opaque application, though not enough to be a one coater. Consistency is well balanced, not too thick or too thin. It's very smooth throughout and easy to work with. It dries down to a high-shine finish on its own. I experienced no staining to my cuticles or nail beds during removal. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
