Supernatural Lacquer - Ladies of Supernatural Collection

Greetings guys! I had such a crazy day. I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not but I had family from Peru over this past weekend. Unfortunately they left yesterday to go back to Peru. It was very sad but I'm glad I got to meet my four-year old nephew, I may have spoiled him rotten. Anyway that's why I didn't get to blog yesterday. It's crazy how guilty I felt about it, but I have a great collection to share that's going to totally make up for it. Today I have the Ladies of Supernatural by Supernatural Lacquer (of course!). This is a six-piece collection that is inspired by six of the most influential ladies of the hit television show Supernatural.

Supernatural Lacquer has not restocked all of the colors listed here have been restocked and some are sold out. This collection was purchased using a blogger discount that Stefanie offered, which was awesome of her because I planned on purchasing them regardless. I'm a huge Supernatural fan so her polishes always hit close to the heart.

As I mentioned before, each polish in this collection is named after one of the favorite ladies of Supernatural. The question is, which one is your favorite?

Supernatural Lacquer Charlie

Charlie is a light blue crelly filled with orange triangles, white rectangles and hexes and a slight shimmer finish. It's funny how much this polish is like the character - both had to grow on me haha. The orange glitters are a really nice touch and give this crelly some spark. Pretty good formula and consistency, gave me no issues when applying. You'll definitely have to layer this beauty because it's sheer in one coat. I ended up using three to four layers, whilst letting each layer dry a bit to avoid clumping.

Supernatural Lacquer Mary

Mary is a clear glitter topper filled with blue, yellow and white sparkling mixture of matte circles, triangles, stars and hexes. I was so tore on whether or not to use an undie for this polish, but I decided against it. I really wanted to show you guys the beautiful glitter arrangement in this topper. I used about three layers using the dabbing method of application. Very nice and smooth formula with no glitter fishing.

Supernatural Lacquer Ruby 2.0

Ruby 2.0 is a devious red jelly filled with black star, triangle, and hex glitters. Absolutely love this jelly cutie. What can I say, I'm a fan of the bad girl. And this polish is a perfection representation of the said lady/demon we all love to hate aka Ruby. It's the love-hate relationship we've all had wrapped into one polish. Excellent formula and consistency. I used three thin coats for a full and opaque finish then sealed it with a topcoat. One of my favorite picks in this collection, hands down.

Supernatural Lacquer Jo

Jo is a pinkish purple crelly filled with yellow, blue, orange and white glitters of various sizes. Another very cute crelly in this collection, however, not one of my favorites. Formula wise this polish is great and applies really smoothly. I did encounter come glitter fishing for the larger shaped glitters, but having the bottle upside for a bit helped. Sheer in a single coat, I used three thin layers for these swatches and sealed them with a topcoat.

Supernatural Lacquer Ellen

Ellen is a pale yellow crelly full of black triangles, stars, skulls, hearts, circles, rectangles and mini hexes with a touch of shimmer. I feel like I should of tested this polish against some black light haha. The shade is very interesting and unique, not really what I was expecting. It's also one of the more heavy glitter polishes in this collection. It almost feels very Halloween like, right? I definitely like it a lot. This polish is very sheer in one coat, so you'll have to layer up quite a bit. I used three to four layers to achieve a fully opaque finish. Topcoat is definitely not an option as you'll need it to smooth down the glitters. I did experience some glitter fishing with the bigger ones in the mix, but other than that the formula was pretty good to work with.

Supernatural Lacquer Meg 2.0

Meg 2.0 is a white crelly base packed with various sized matte and metallic pink, purple and white glitters. It almost doesn't appear white because it's filled with some much pink glitters haha. I love the soft touch this crelly has, very feminine and soft. Formula is consistent with the rest in this collection and applies very easily. No troubles to report with this beauty.

Supernatural Lacquer Meg 2.0

Overall I'm so happy I decided on getting the full collection because it has some very nice variety for my tastes. The crelly polishes are fantastic but the jelly and glitter topper really stand out to me. I'm a huge fan of this uniquely creative indie line and have been for quite some time so I'm really accustomed to the quality of the polishes. Great formula and consistency all around, but you do run into two with some glitter fishing. Both have fairly larger glitters in them which cause the problem, but it's nothing unbearable. I'm looking forward to the next set of releases because I just keep becoming more and more of a fan of Supernatural (both the indie and the show).

Follow Supernatural Lacquer and don't miss out on the next restock of the sold out colors in this collection. Stefanie also has some pretty kick-butt polishes coming soon so keep your eyes peeled.

    1. Thank you! Can you believe I have to file them down weekly?! I have a really good natural growth gene I think because I honestly don't take or do anything too special. I use a non-strengthening base-coat and regularly use hard hoof and cuticle oil.
