Born Pretty Store - Exaggerated Red Lip With Tongue Charm

Hiya guys! I am a huge fan of accessories when it comes to nail art and it's no secret I have a passion for charms. Whether you need a quick mani or you want to be bold and create something fashion-forward, nail charms are a must for any nail fanatic. For today I'll be sharing a nail charm review, which I received from the Born Pretty Store. It's a very sassy charm that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it, take a look.

I knew right away that I wanted to create a kind of retro pop-art mani to go along with this charm. The mani turned out a little different than I envisioned, but it's still a really easy and fun look.

The 'Exaggerated Red Lip With Tongue' nail charm is listed as item #11890 in the Born Pretty Store. There are actually two sizing options for the charm and I opted for the larger variation (#94). The exact size for the ones I received are 12mm x 10mm while the other size is 10mm x 8mm. I have fairly wide and large nail beds so this size works well for me, but for those with a small nail bed should probably choose the tinier version. No matter the size you chose, item #11890 comes with 2 charms per pack for only $1.99.

I used quite a bit of different polishes to create this retro chic look. Here's the breakdown:

  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear: Peach Beach and Black Out
  • Zoya: Ryan and Ling
  • Salon Perfect: Sugar Cube
  • Fire Cracker Lacquer: A Crown Well Deserved

The star-burst on my ring finger was created using a nail vinyl from the store Nails Redesigned. To add more of a pop-art effect I outlined the vinyl with red acrylic paint.
