Desert Days by Ladybug Lacquer is already available for pre-order right now and the official store opening will be Monday May 25th. Each one of these polishes can be purchased in both mini and full sizes individually as well as in a complete set.
The Desert Days collection consists of five polishes, each with a different finish. With such diversity, there is something that everyone is sure to like.
Before the Sunrise
Before the Sunrise is a beautiful duochrome that shifts between purple, magenta, and blue. I usually save my favorite for last, but I've been so psyched about this gorgeous polish. I still am wearing it almost a week later! The colors shift flawlessly with just the slightest angle move. Formula was sheer in the first coat and doesn't self-level as much as I would of hoped. However the consistency has a nice balance, which helps in building up the layers and getting that full coverage. Swatched here in three coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Wildflower Bouquet
Wildflower Bouquet is a dusty purple with a scattered holo finish. I love the shade of this gorgeous holo a lot more than I originally thought I would. I feel like it's a very unique color that I don't stumble across very often in my stash. Formula was a little bit on the thick side, but still easy to work with. The finish ended having a few noticeable brush stokes as well. Swatched here in two coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Cactus Juice
Cactus Juice is a fun green jelly filled with various colors of micro holographic glitters. I find a lot of ladies shying away from green shades and from jelly polishes in general. I feel like this one here is a fantastic representation of both aspects. Great formula with a not too thick or too thin consistency throughout. It self-levels extremely well and isn't too sheer like you normally would expect a jelly to be. Swatched here in three coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Sunset Popsicles
Sunset Popsicles is a bright creme orange polish. It's no secret that I tend to be a little bit of an orange hater, but there will be no hating going on today. It's impossible with a polish that looks this creamy and delish. It doesn't really clash with my skintone and it's a gorgeous medium orange tone that is uncommon to find. If your collection is lacking in the orange range, you're definitely going to want this one. Formula and consistency are fantastic, very smooth and opaque in a single coat. I want to say this is almost a one coater depending on how heavy your hand is when you apply. Swatched here in two coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Triple Digit Temps
Triple Digit Temps is a cherry red linear holo with a slight jelly finish. I am such a fan of this shade tone for the summer, the holo especially makes this stunning to wear. However I do personally have similar shades in my stash. The formula and consistency are fantastic and the application is flawless. Definitely recommend this one for anyone who might not own a similar shade. Swatched here in three coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Overall I am head over nails in love with this debut collection from Ladybug Lacquer. As I said, there is something for absolutely everyone with all the different finishes. Simply genius. It also gives us a great taste of what we can expect from this indie in the future. Personally, I definitely want to see more duo-chromes and cremes from Ladybug Lacquer. What do you guys think? Which one of these stole your heart?
