Hiya guys! TGIF it's time to take out the wine and celebrate the weekend. And the not to mention the pizza... with ice cream for dessert. Can you tell I've had a long week, haha? Today I am sharing swatches for the Dirty 30 Birthday Trio from Philly Loves Lacquer. I'm one year away from turning the milestone myself, so I can feel the fear creeping up on me. The only thing getting me through this is the fact that I still get carded for liquor. Thank goodness for that Latina fountain of youth!
The Dirty 30 Birthday Trio from Philly Loves Lacquer will be releasing for sale on Saturday, April 16th. The trio will be available as a complete set at a discount, in either mini ($15) or full size ($30), as well individual bottles in both sizes ($6 and $12, respectively).
Foxy Lady can be described as a reddish pink full coverage jelly filled with holo and non-holo micro-glitter. Is there anything sexier than a red polish? Well that would be a red polish filled with sparkle and glitter a.k.a. this polish right here. Hands down my top favorite, but spoiler alert I did end up loving all three. The formula and consistency are fantastic, not too thick or too thin. It's very opaque considering it's a jelly and so it builds up easily on the nail. Due to the heavy glitters in this polish, the finish dries slightly gritty so topcoat will be needed. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Forever 29 can be described as a deep purple glitter jelly filled with various colors of UCC flakies, chameleon chrome flakies, and holo micro-glitter. A popping purple, need I say more?! The flakies in this one are so stellar and give the finish a unique look. The formula for this one was slightly on the thinner side causing some minimal running during the application. It was still what I consider a manageable application though. Shown here in three thin coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Eighty6 can be described as a teal full coverage jelly filled with holo and non-holo micro-glitter. Someone tell Ariel to step aside, there is a new mermaid in town with this polish on my nails! I am forever a teal girl. It has a similar formula to Foxy Lady, very smooth and builds up with ease. There was very minimal cuticle staining after wearing it for a few hours, but none to my actual nail bed. It dries to a gritty finish as well that can be smoothed out by applying a thick layer of topcoat. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Overall I cannot help but feel that this entire trio is a must have collection, especially if you are a big fan of glitter. These are so jam-packed with sparkle while retaining smooth formulas, what more can you ask for in a polish?!
