Julie G Nail Polish | Spring Pack 2

Hiya guys! Still freezing my nails off in Jersey and not feeling much better on the cold front. I don't usually get the flu shot and now I am starting to regret it. I think this is the third cold I have gotten this winter/season, so it's either the shot next time or moving into a bubble haha. Knowing me I'll still end up getting sick even with the shot. Bubble it is! Today I'm sharing swatches for another gorgeous Spring Pack from Julia G, which consists of three cream shades. If you haven't seen the first of the three packs, check out my other post here. I should have my last review posted within the next few weeks, should this cold remain tamed. Now without further ado, let's go ahead and get right into the swatches!

Julie G Nail Polish | Spring Pack 2

Julie G - Julie's Fave
Julie G - Julie's Fave

Julie's Fave can be described as a coral creme. Isn't this a gorgeous shade? It's making me yearn for some summer and sunshine whilst I'm in the middle of this coldness. I'm also a huge sucker when it comes to cream finishes, so it like automatically had me swooning. I think cream finishes just look so smooth and pretty, it's like so much room for nail-art activities. Haha. The color looks surprisingly great against my skin-complexion, though it does give me that sun-kissed tan glow. Normally corals tend to clash against my tone, but this definitely isn't the case here and I am so glad for it.

The formula has a sheer application that leans on patchy with the initial coats. Luckily the formula has great self-leveling and with a few coats the patchiness evens out. Consistency wise it's well balanced, not too thick or too thin. I found it very easy to work with and build-up for full coverage. It dries down to a smooth high-shine finish on its own, but of course adding topcoat adds even more glossy shine. Also it should be noted that I experienced no staining on removal to either my cuticles or nail beds. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Julie G - Santorini
Julie G - Santorini

Santorini can be described as a cornflower blue creme. And here we have my favorite among this set, which says a lot because all are nearly perfection. But as you know there is just something about a blue shade that makes me fall head over heels. It's a really great hue as I tend to have either really dark blues or super light/pale ones, a nice in between like this is rare for me but I am here for it. Like the previous shade, this color also tends to bring out a tan glow from my skin without making it clash. I can definitely see myself wearing this one over and over again throughout the seasons.

The formula has a sheer application that builds-up well for full coverage. The consistency feels well balanced throughout and is neither too thick or too thin. Easy to work with and layering helps mask the sheerness without issue. It dries down to a smooth high shine finish on its own. And on a final note, I experienced no staining on removal to either my cuticles or nail beds. Always such a huge plus when it comes to blue. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Julie G - Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro can be described as an orchid purple creme. And what's a spring-time without some purple to brighten up your day?! It's just a must-have color and yet I don't feel like I can ever get enough of it. This hue is really unique to my collection as well as it leans a little between purple and pink. That said, I don't absolutely love it against my skin complexion. I do think it tends to bring out just a little bit too much warmth and gives it sort of a clashing look. But that could very well be me being overcritical, just something to note..

The formula has a really opaque application, but cannot be considered a one coater. I was really surprised by how opaque this shade ended up being compared to the others. It has perfect self-leveling and applies easily. Consistency is right on the money and is neither too thick or too thin. Like the others, it dries down to a beautiful smooth and high-shine finish on its own. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
