Julie G Nail Polish | Spring Pack 1

Hiya guys! I wish I could tell you I'm having a fun in the sun kind of day, but it's kind of the opposite. Mother nature decided we needed to feel the cold in Jersey so I had to put on the Uggs again. Not only is that a total bummer, but I'm catching the slowest cold ever. Lucky for me I have some gorgeous polishes from Julie G to play with while I mope in dreary weather. Today I'm sharing swatches for the first of three Julie G Spring Packs, which consists of three cream shades. I'll be sharing the other two packs within the next few days, so be sure to stay tuned. Let's take a look at the swatches!

Julie G Nail Polish | Spring Pack 1

The Julie G Spring Packs are available online or at your local Rite Aid. There are 3 different packs to choose from and they retail for $10 each. Alternatively each full-size 10mL bottle can be purchased individually for $3.99. This deal ends on May 31st!

Julie G - Bikini

Bikini can be described as a light salmon pink neon cream. Starting off this review with one of my favorite shades in this pack. I mean it's neon so what's not to love about it, right? It's one of those colors that I love wearing, but I am always afraid might clash against my skin-tone. Honestly though... who cares! This is definitely one of those times to throw caution to the wind and don't be afraid to be bright and loud. Neons are life.

The formula has a sheer and patchy application with visible streakiness. It's to be expected from a neon and reminds me of the formula to the classic CG Flip Flop Fantasy. That aside, the consistency is really good and makes it easy to layer. It dries down matte, but I do recommend adding topcoat to help even out the finish. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Dream In Pretty can be described as a punchy purple cream. I am a firm believer in two things: 1. popcorn should always be mixed with Buncha Crunch at the movies and 2. you can never have too many purples in the Spring.

The formula has a really nice opaque application, which I was not expecting from this shade. Such a nice surprise! It again has that really great consistency for layering with ease and dries down to a high shine. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Tropical can be described as a neon turquoise mint cream. My photos really don't capture this polish as accurately as I hoped, it's a very tough color to photograph. In person it's much more brighter and leaning on neon.

The formula is similar to that of Bikini and has some patchiness in the finish. It has a great consistency, not too thin or too thick, which helps with the ease of building up coverage. It dries down to a semi-matte finish, but again I suggest adding a topcoat to even it out. Afterwards you can always add a matte topcoat on! I'd also like to note that I experienced no staining to my cuticles or nail beds with this shade - always a big plus in the realm of teals and blues. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall I have to say the quality of the these is pretty fantastic for the low price. Not to mention this brand offers a really affordable way to build up your collection, especially if you're more into doing nail art. No better canvas than a creamy finish! One thing I do love about these shades, despite the minor formula issues, is the brightness achieved without the need of using a white base. It's so worth the slight application maneuvering just to avoid that, at least in my book haha. But tell me guys, how do you feel about these shades? Let me know down in the comments!
