Jior Couture - Spring Garden (Spring 2017) Collection

Hiya guys! Have you ever been woken up by an elbow to the face? I have... at 4 in the morning. Courtesy of my hubs and his very annoying habit to stretch while he is sleeping. Thank goodness for me that this weekend is jam-packed with polish releases. Yup, might as well say RIP to his wallet now. Heck I'll take an elbow to the face every day if it means new polish for me, haha. But now it's time for me to do a little enabling because I can't be the only one buying polish this weekend! Today I'm sharing swatches for the gorgeous Spring Garden Collection from Jior Couture, which consists of four shimmery medium pastels. Let's get to the swatches!

Jior Couture - Spring 2017 Collection

The Spring Garden Collection from Jior Couture is now available for purchase. Each full-size 12mL shade retails for $8. The entire full-size collection can be purchased as a set for $30.

Jior Couture - Hydrangea
Jior Couture - Hydrangea

Hydrangea can be described as a scattered holo, sea/ mint green medium pastel with light green and gold shimmer. I'm not normally a fan of green polishes, but there is always an exception and this one falls into that. I love how it really compliments my skin-tone and makes my undertones 'glow'. I can definitely see myself wearing this one throughout the summer months!

The formula has a really opaque application, but not quite a one coater. It's very easy to work with and has a balanced consistency to it - not too thick or too thin. It dries to a high shine on its own as well. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Jior Couture - Sweet Lavender

Sweet Lavender can be described as a scattered holo, lilac medium pastel with light purple and gold shimmer. This color brings me back to being a tween and needing to have everything in lavender! I was like too cool for pink so this was the next best thing, haha. Anyway, I feel like the subtle hints of gold really make this color pop against other similar lavenders this season.

The formula has a sheer application, but has a good build-up for the opacity. Consistency wise it does tend to lean on the thick side, but it was manageable. It dries to a semi-satin finish on its own. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Antique Rose can be described as a scattered holo dusty mauve medium pastel with light pink and gold shimmer. Definitely the unexpected favorite of the collection right here guys! I love the richness of the tone, it's one of those shades that can be worn on any occasion. Very classy and perfect for those of use who have to wear office appropriate shades.

The formula has a really opaque application, much more so than I was expecting from this shade. However it's not quite enough to be considered a one coater. Like Hydrangea, it has a balanced consistency that's easy to work with. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Orchid can be described as a scattered holo, cornflower blue medium pastel with light blue and gold shimmer. And finally my must-have pick for this collection!

The formula has an initial application, but has amazing coverage. The consistency leaned a little on the thin side, but I didn't experience any running. I'd also like to note there was no staining on removal to my cuticles or nail bed. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall I really like the medium tones of these pastels, they add a nice variety in the massive amount of pastels this season. I've been all about the shimmer lately and this collection showcases exactly why I'm loving it so much. The subtle hints of shimmer add a nice level of depth to the solid shades. My must-have picks have got to go to Orchid and Antique Rose, both are so gorgeous and really stood out to me. But tell me guys, which one are your favorites?

To recap, the Spring Garden Collection from Jior Couture is now available for purchase. Each full-size 12mL shade retails for $8. The entire full-size collection can be purchased as a set for $30.
