Hiya guys! It's the start of another polish filled week and I'm loving it. Over the weekend my hubs surprised me with my ninth helmer. Yup, let that sink in for a moment. I take my polish addict title very seriously, haha. But I'm not in this alone and I'm here to enable you. Today I'm sharing swatches for the monthly Destination Polish Duo featuring Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and guest Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish. Let's take a look at the swatches!
The Destination Duo will be releasing on Wednesday, May 31st through both Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish. Each duo will retail for $20 shipped domestically or $20 with a prorated shipping fee internationally.
Both polishes are inspired by this photo taken by Julie. Isn't it such a sight? Here you can see the color changing fountains at Trafalgar Square, London. I wish to travel one day to see it, just another stop to add to the bucket list.
Mermaids in London can be described as a bright red with rose gold and ruby metallic flakes and ultra holo flakes.
The formula has a really opaque application, but not quite a one coater. Consistency wise it feels very balanced, not too thick or too thin. It dries down to a minimally gritty finish, but smooths out perfectly after topcoat. And despite it's pigmentation, I experienced no staining on removal to my nail beds or cuticles. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Light in the Dark can be described as a bright pink shimmer with a turquoise flash. My photos really don't do the shimmer any justice, it's absolutely stunning in person.
The formula has a sheer application, but builds-up evenly on the nail. It has a very easy to work with consistency that makes layering for full coverage a cake walk. It dries down to a very high shine finish on it's own. And there is also no staining with this shade as well. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Also included along with the polishes is a little bag of glitters for nail art purposes. I wish I could have had some time to create something, but it's definitely going to be used in the near future. A girl can never have too much glitter after all.
To recap, the Destination Duo will be available on Wednesday, May 31st through both Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish. Each duo will retail for $20 shipped domestically or $20 with a prorated shipping fee internationally. Please note that PCNP ships to USA and Canada only and BEGL ships internationally.

Lovely swatches!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Roselynn!!
ReplyDelete9 melmers....that made me twitch a little. Currently I am trying to hard to decide what to do with all my polish. I can't be forced out of living space by polish. lol I have 8 melmers and an assortment of boxes and stuff--something's gotta give! This duo is so pretty! I can't decide which one I love most. Your swatches are A+ as always!
ReplyDeleteLoving both of these colors. I don't polish my nails as often as I should, but when I do, I usually go for reds and pinks.
