Ever After Polish - Land Before Time Collection

Hiya guys! Another day with more polish for you all to completely drool over and I'm not sorry about. If I have to suffer so do you, haha. But it's the best kind of suffering because it comes in the form of sparkles and glitter by the butt-load. Today I'll be sharing swatches for the Land Before Time Collection by Ever After Polish, which will be debuting this weekend at Polish Con. How I wish I was going. I'm sure a lot of you do as well, but the dang travel is too much for me. We can live thru others I'm sure, haha. There are quite a few releases happening from this brand this weekend, so be sure to take a look at my other posts and don't miss out! And now without further ado, let's go ahead and get right into these swatches.

Ever After Polish - Dear, Sweet Littlefoot
Ever After Polish - Dear, Sweet Littlefoot

Dear, Sweet Littlefoot can be described as a lavender-taupe base with copper multichrome flakes and light holo shimmer. This shade is a revamped re-release of one of Ever After's most popular polishes. And I can see why it's been fan favorite, it's drop dead gorgeous to say the least. Definitely a must-have if that's not obvious, haha. And I'm not even going to pretend, I'm stating it now as my must-have pick in this review. Instant stamp of approval on my end. The combination of the colors and flakes with the shimmer just pops beyond imagination especially when under direct sunlight. I also can't help but fall in love with how 'jam-packed' the finish looks without feeling overwhelming. It's a delicate balance when approaching a shade like this and it's definitely been nailed. Pun intended.

The formula has a sheer application that builds-up evenly for full coverage. It has a perfectly balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin. Plenty of flakes per brush stroke that distribute even across the nail. Absolutely no clumping throughout the layering. It dries down to a gritty finish, but smooths out with ease after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Ever After Polish - Threehorns don't Play with Longnecks
Ever After Polish - Threehorns don't Play with Longnecks

Threehorns don't Play with Longnecks can be described as a peach/pale copper shimmer with linear holo and multichrome, iridescent flakes. The name of this polish gives me chills because it's such a memorable quote from the movie for me. I definitely remember watching this movie so many times growing up that I knew the lines by heart. While the polish itself is not a color I would naturally gravitate towards, I do have to say I love the unique tone. It almost feels 'rose gold' to an extent. Not sure if it's my vision or the trend, but I can see it in the full shots of the swatch. That said, the color pulls a little too much warmth from my skin-tone. Not a personal favorite for me.

The formula has a very sheer opacity that requires a bit of layering in order to achieve full coverage. It has a great build-up that aids in the delicate feel of the polish. Consistency wise it tends to lean on the thicker side, but it wasn't enough that I needed to add any thinner. The touches of gold glitter work very well in the base and don't clump up at all during the layering. It dries down to a smooth finish on its own despite the good amount of glitters as well. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Ever After Polish - I Flying!
Ever After Polish - I Flying!

I Flying! can be described as a rich, reddish brown polish with scattered holo and copper and red micro-glitter. The Fall vibes are practically leaping off my nails and I am head over heels over it. I know I tend to say this a lot, but my photos don't do any justice to the holo flame and sparkle. It's such a rich deep color and the copper red glitters give it the perfect highlighting touch. Definitely one I will keep coming back to repeatedly! The color looks perfect against my skin-complexion and it's one of those tones I feel would look great across the board.

The formula has a really great opaque application although not enough to be a one coater by any means. This kind of polish does well with some layering to add to the sparkle as well. Consistency wise it does lean on the thin side, but the application still feels manageable. There was no flooding or pooling to my cuticles. The finish dries down somewhat gritty and smooths out after topcoat like the others. I experienced no staining on removal to either my cuticles or nail beds. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Ever After Polish - We Will Call You Spike
Ever After Polish - We Will Call You Spike

We Will Call You Spike can be described as a springy, yellow shimmer with multichrome flakes and green micro-glitter. Talk about a unique polish?! Hear me out you guys, I actually don't hate it. Dare I say this might be the first time I have fallen this hard for a yellow toned polish! I think so, I think so. The color combination of the flakes against the bright base work so perfectly to give this such a pop factor. Like enough to be eye-catching without being overwhelming or obnoxious. So well done! The tone of the yellow actually looks really good against my skin-tone as well, which surprises me to no end. It does pull some warmth, but it's just enough to give me that cute summer glow and no clashing.

The formula has a very sheer application almost enough to be considered a jelly but not quite. It builds-up well and easily for full complete coverage. Consistency wise it's surprisingly well balanced and leans neither thick or thin. Each brush stroke is jam-packed with glitters, but I experienced no issues whatsoever with clumping. The layering was very easy throughout the application. As expected it dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out after a thick layer of topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Ever After Polish - Yup, Yup, Yup
Ever After Polish - Yup, Yup, Yup

Yup, Yup, Yup can be described as a mossy green with multichrome flakes, scattered holo shimmer, and blue shimmer. Another very unique tone in a polish... that I cannot help but fall in love with. The flakes and shimmer are modest but work well to highlight the unique tone of the base. The color of the flakes against the green gives this a very earthy-Fall vibe that makes me swoon. On a first glance it's definitely not a color I would have thought looked good against my skin-complexion, but here I am completely in love. It looks great and doesn't pull any warmth from my tone but instead gives me a beautiful glow.

The formula has am extremely sheer application that builds-up easily for full coverage. Fantastic coverage and easy layering - no issues. The consistency is very well balanced as well, not too thick or too thin. There are plenty of flakies in each coat that spread out pretty evenly throughout the nail. There is no cluttering or clumping of the flakes in the finish naturally. The finish does down to a minimal gritty feel that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall this collection was filled with a bunch of gorgeous surprises for me. Most of the colors in this collection were something I wouldn't normally go for, but ended up being really beautiful and pleasant against my skin tone. I especially loved We Will Call You Spike - it has such a unique combination and it'll be a killer shade for the Spring time.
